The fridge was stocked nicely with breakfast items and plenty of liquid refreshments!

Great location for Cruz Bay- we were walking and yes, the most direct route is a very steep hill. The bed was different than our Sleep Number- felt several springs!

Supermarkets, restaurants and churches are within walking distance.
Will look into "Sleep Number Bed".

The owner of the property is very accessible and helpful, the property is well maintained, clean and spacious. The location is close to all of the town amenities and the rates are very reasonable.

3 nights in St. John- great stay close to Cruz Bay
Publié le 3 févr. 2020 sur HotelsWe were on St. John for 3 nights and the location is pretty ideal for the price as it’s very close to the shops and restaurants of Cruz Bay. It definitely has the feel of staying with a local as compared to a hotel or resort. The room was one of the most spacious rooms we have ever had, and there were really nice complimentary items in the refrigerator and in the closets for use (beach chairs, coolers).
I would stay here again for sure, but that’s because I don’t need the glitz and glamour of a resort. I found the hospitality from Phyllis welcoming and it was more of authentic stay in St. John. The balcony was also great with views looking down on Cruz Bay.

Shops, restaurants, supermarkets and taxis are a 3 minute walk down hill. Gift shops, churches and the Cruz Bay Passenger Dock are also within walking distance.

On top of steep climb. Beautiful resultant views. Basic room with worn amendities. Guests can sit in common area outside door.
Otherwise just 1/4 mile to center of everything in nice quiet area ( roosters don’t count). Can park out front . Safe

St. John is volcanic (Dormant) in origin, which means there are lots of hills and "Million Dollar Views".
My Mother Ethlyn Harthman Lindqvist Hall, who was born on St. John, named the guest house, "Hillcrest Guest House", because it's located on the "Crest" of the Hill".
Many walk down easily and take a taxi back up or take their time walking back up.
Top floor Lounge is a screened in porch with lots and lots of breezes.
Roosters run wild; they belong to no one.
Owner lives on site to make sure everything is okay.
