Easy going people
Publié le 16 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayStephanie ran through our arrival. Showed us the keys and said just lock the sliders when you leave. One of them does not lock from the outside, you have to go out the back door. Grounds, walkway full of raked leaves just left in a pile, I swept them up and out of our walking path . Wifi listed on welcome sheet incorrect, manager came over and said it was wrong, some speel about problems with computer. Don't worry about renting, we were told we were the last. When we logged back into VRBO we saw construction discount, asked about it, some excuses were made, little lies told ( construction starts at 9, not, 6:30 am. Skill saw, jackhammer etc) We're good people, put up with it and did not attack anyone, just asked for the discount price. VRBO was not helpful in the matter, take it up with the owner, manager. Chris was not helpful! The island is beautiful, and the people who really work, wonderful!

I understand it is on an island and you can't just go to Home Depot. The construction next door does make things a little messy but not the owners fault. Overall very happy and would book again

Best Views!
Publié le 19 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were 2 couples staying for a week. We hardly heard the construction noise so it didn't bother us. The house was very comfortable, including the beds. The kitchen had everything we needed. The porches were fantastic with great views. We spent several mornings and evenings just chilling on the porch. The peaocks were beautiful and entertaining. Great location, walking distance to everything you need. Will definitley stay here again!

Great communication throughout our stay. Kitchen has no air but didnt matter because we were so close to great bars and restaurants. Construction noise next door started at 7am but didn't bother us. Beds were super comfortable and rooms were nice and air-conditioned. Outdoor space was perfect to take in the phenomenal views.

Amazing place!

It is in such a great location, walking distance to everything in downtown Cruz bay, and has beautiful views! Would highly recommend! Thanks again to Chris and Stephanie for all of their help with getting us there and for making our stay the best 😊

$400-500 was taken. The only saving grace was, "they" left her drivers license and her credit cards behind. The manager came over and handled it along with the local police. A report was taken and was told that it was being investigated. Hope to hear back on it soon! Other than that, it was a fantastic place to stay and close to everything!!

Peacock House Indeed!
Publié le 8 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayStayed with friends & as other reviewers have stated, the house is perfect for 2 couples. 2 bedrooms & patios, separated by a kitchen. Location was perfect, about 6 min walk to Cruz Bay (double that time coming back as it's a steady incline all the way back). Had everything we needed except a can opener & that was quickly remedied. Some things to note - bedrooms do not have TVs. I don't care about that but some may. Main bedroom is attached to the living area, with a large TV. Bedrooms have window AC units which do a great job. No AC anywhere else so kitchen gets warm if you're cooking (manager brought us a box fan to help). We kept the door to the main bedroom open during the day to help keep the living area cool. That bedroom also has an awesome blackout shade to keep the sun & heat out. The other bedroom has drapes over the doors but they were not blackout drapes so don't take that room if you want to sleep in. Construction is right beside the house but it never bothered us. . Water is not drinkable so you'll need to buy plenty of water. Views from the patios were gorgeous.The real stars of this place are the peacocks. They are beautiful but loud. I loved them & looked forward to seeing them every day. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Great experience. Construction noise next door was not excessive and not a big deal at all...usually starts at 7am and really you want to start your day here as early as possible. Peaceful mornings with a great view. The peacocks were great and hung out with us in the mornings. Kitchen amenities were good. Great location and walking distance to Cruz Bay restaurants and shopping. 20 min drive to some great beaches like Cinnamon and Trunk Bay. Communication with property manager was excellent and greeted us on arrival. There was one minor issue that was addressed and taken care of quickly. Would recommend this place. Would come back!
Cons:
Construction next door but really not a big deal. See above.
Could use some hooks outside and inside to hang things. Also a small dresser in rooms would be nice. All of our clothes were pretty much on the floor and out of our suitcase. There were closets with hangers though.
Would not recommend with young kids mainly because the bedrooms are not connected....you have to go outside to get to the other bedroom. Some parents may not like that. The description does say no kids under 13 probably for that reason. One of ours was 12 and bunked with their older sibling.
Overall: The pros far outweigh the minor cons!
