The room smelled like smoke, and was outdated. The pillows were small, square shaped, and more like decorative pillows.

Gabe and Pear Tree Inn are 10 out of 10

My girlfriend and I had a four day roadtrip from California to Illinois and The Pear Tree was the best hotel we stayed at. The front desk attendant Gabe was very knowledgeable and professional when checking us in and answering any questions we had. I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for about a decade and was really impressed with Gabe and the hotel. Would stay here again if we ever have the chance to come back through town

Continental breakfast is good, popcorn in the afternoon is a great quick snack and they have coffee all the time!

Bed was uncomfortable. Charged $50 plus tax for 2 dogs, plus a refundable $50 deposit to be returned in a few days. Breakfast just ok, mostly continental style. Not worth the cost of the stay.
