Great villa

Very spacious villa located in a quiet and safe community. There are restaurants on site which made the stay very convenient.

Loved this place!

The house and views are stunning! Would recommend. After staying almost a month, my only complaints would be ... 1) The beds are hard. 2) The downstairs bathroom shower drain had poop come up it once - from the upstairs bathroom. We cleaned it up, but the house manager never wrote back and acknowledged when notified.

Great location but a few Issues....

Posted Mar. 6, 2023 on HomeAway
What we loved about the property: Views of the ocean, birdlife and sunsets. Great terrace space w/ plunge pool to cool off at the end of a hot day. Great overall layout and large enough for the 6 of us to have our own "space" when we wanted it. Good access to the resort restaurants, other beaches, the salt flats etc. Friendly, responsive resort / property management staff. What we found disappointing: smallish kitchen with no pantry / food storage area - needs a rubber spatula, a "lasagna type" baking dish and a new non-stick frying pan (current one is badly damaged and so not safe to use). Most of the pillows on the beds were hard foam (old?) and very uncomfortable (a couple of us just slept on a rolled towel instead). Despite our desire to conserve water, the 2 street-side bedroom showers had to run for at least 3-4 minutes to get warm. The street-side ensuite shower drain was plugged so the shower base filled up to the top of the curb while trying to get the water warm. In this same shower, the telescoping head would not stay up and when we tried to tighten the mechanism, it fell apart (obviously already broken). A service call resulted in improved drainage and replaced the broken part the following day but the cool water remained an issue in the 2 bedrooms. The water at the kitchen sink only warmed after about 5 minutes so we washed dishes in cool water most of the time as the dishwasher was broken and not replaced until the day before we left. There were a lot of leaves in the bottom of the pool when we first arrived - perhaps not easy to control but a "first impressions" thing along with signs of wear and tear (e.g. a missing hook in one of the bathrooms, a few chipped cups and glasses, cushions missing from the chaises lounges...). The lower bedroom (double) door was sticking badly & difficult to open and close. After a few days, this became a real irritant especially because the maintenance/cleaning staff must have been aware of the issue but had not addressed it. We ran out of dish soap and toilet paper, no facial tissue, paper towels or laundry soap were provided and these are just little things that you'd expect to have in a premium vacation home for 6 adults over a 10 night stay especially given the instruction to launder our sheets / towels during our stay. Last but not least, the garden maintenance work was very noisy and they blew "stuff" into the house through the open shutters. (A warning would have been nice!)

Amazing!

The location is perfect! Right in the middle of the island! The property was absolutely wonderful. The villa had everything you would need. The Coral Estates property was also wonderful. We had a great vacation and would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect for our needs for the week. Amazing view from the outdoor area by the pool. Manager was very responsive with any inquiries. The mattresses were thin but overall this was a nice villa.

Relaxing beautiful beach holiday

Posted Feb. 15, 2023 on HomeAway
House perched on a hill overlooking the property down to the ocean facing West with gorgeous sunsets and very good privacy from neighbors. In a safe and beautifully-landscaped community. Kitchen fully equipped. Breezy almost all the time with little variation in temp. No need for AC during our visit even at night. Comfy beds. Excellent location between western beaches and Willemsted. Two excellent restaurants quite nearby. Note: more than two guests require a surcharge. Ask ahead. Bring bath soaps. Pool about 12 X 15 feet - not large enough for a swim and quite deep. Not suitable for children. Towels mostly flimsy. No mosquitos at all. Caretaker exceedingly helpful and responsive.

Beautiful Views

Posted Jan. 2, 2023 on HomeAway
We had a great time at this property and especially loved the spectacular view and patio area. The property was very clean. We reached out to the owner (Andrea) a couple times and she was responsive and helpful. It’s in a relatively quiet neighborhood between the east and west side of the island. We felt safe. There’s not too much going on locally though it’s a good base to drive to great beaches and attractions. The Coral Estates restaurant Karaktar was excellent. A few things to note if you’re staying here - none of them were a big deal for us. One of the four bedrooms is downstairs with a separate entrance. There’s no microwave. The air conditioning is limited to bedrooms (as are virtually all places in Curaçao) but they will only work between 7pm and 10am.

Wonderful Area on Curacao

Posted Jul. 3, 2022 on HomeAway
My family stayed for a week on Curacao for a dive trip after a last minute flight cancellation to Bonaire. The villa was very nice and clean with three bedrooms (the fourth is separate and downstairs with an external entry). I would highly recommend Coral Estates, especially if diving. There are three restaurants on grounds at the beach that are open late. There is a dive shop that offers unlimited 24 hour shore diving with tanks and full equipment. The villa was as advertised and we would stay there again. The only negative aspects were minor. We stayed in late June and it was very hot. The villa has wall unit a/c in each bedroom but asks that they be run only from 7 PM - 10 AM and asks for $35 per day if you choose to run the a/c outside of those times. This was not an issue as we were diving during the daytime, but the villa would get extremely warm by late evening and in the evening we did have to largely stay in our rooms for comfort. The clothes washer is quite small and you cannot wash many clothes at once. There was no laundry soap so we got our own. There is no dryer so you will need to hang your clothes to dry if you choose to do any laundry. Overall, the villa and Coral Estate were fantastic.

Comfortable property in an excellent location

Posted Apr. 10, 2022 on HomeAway
We were very happy to stay at this property during our recent first visit (1 week total) in Curacao. Highlights: - LOCATION for our purposes was excellent; not only being within a quiet gated community with restaurants, a bar, a bakery, spa, etc down at the waterfront (about 4 mins drive from the condo), but also a great mid-point on the coast making it relatively quick to drive to the northern beaches and to drive south to Willemstad. - VIEW was breathtaking! Being able to stare out over the sea from the swimming pool, and being able to enjoy the vibrant sunsets during dinner time, really allowed us to disconnect from "back home" and appreciate the vacation. - SPACIOUSNESS was perfect for our group of 4. Rooms were suitable size, made even better by three of the rooms having ensuite bathroom and the fourth room having bathroom directly adjacent. Kitchen and living room were sizeable, and the back patio with lounge area and pool were great for relaxing. - AMENITIES made our stay very easy, including the dishwasher, washing machine, in-room air conditioning, purified water dispenser, WiFi, TV, 110v outlets, lots of towels, and so on. Lack of microwave wasn't a big deal as we were able to cook everything stovetop or oven or toaster oven. - INTERACTION with the host (Andreas) was outstanding. I had various questions before, during and after my stay, and Andreas was extremely quick to respond and very courteous. Other Notes: - We didn't initially realize that the fourth bedroom is downstairs with only external access, however this ended up working well for us as the "granny suite" for my mother-in-law. - Also didn't realize that the "Additional Guest Fee" would apply to our group considering we were a group of 4 and the condo has a full 4 bedrooms. That said it wasn't a large amount, and it's probably something I simply overlooked in the rental agreement, and probably something that VRBO itself could improve upon in how they distinguish between the "Sleeps X guests" attribute and the "Additional Guest Fee". Overall it was an excellent stay and we would recommend this property to any other groups looking for similar highlights. Thank you Andreas for your hospitality!
