Unorganized chaos
Publié le 30 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was nice for what we needed, and we enjoyed the yard area and hot tub. The house's cleanliness was ok except for the greasy dishes, blood-stained sheets on the sofa bed, and the pubic hair all around and in the bathtub. We checked in on Christmas by text message, due to not wanting to pull him away from his family. He texted where we were supposed to be which was the wrong property. Standing with the family who was originally supposed to be in the apartment we were sent to, they called to clear things up. Immediately he called me telling me I was in the wrong place and the family who rented it was claiming that we were smoking in the house. I was standing with them and that was never said. He blamed me for being in the wrong place after he texted me where to go insinuating that I was too dumb to know what I rented when all I had to go by was pictures of all the nice parts of different properties and a long property number. He gave us 2 assigned parking places that were taken from us due to "the new people have 2 cars". He parked me in a parking area that clearly said no parking, telling me not to move it, so I paid for a safer option. There is no heated pool. Bring your toilet paper. There were no utensils in the kitchen. Dogs were barking beside us which made it hard to relax. He can be a good manager to those he chooses. However, he was not kind to us and talked down to us. We hid when we saw him for fear that we were going to be accused of doing something else.

Dear Amber: We are happy to hear that your family and yourself enjoyed the house, it was nice for what you needed and you enjoyed the hot tub. The chaos was due to the fact that you did not read your check in instructions which is very clear that you rented the PINK GULFSIDE COTTAGE at 28 Glendale st and not the Captains House at 644 Mandalay Ave. When you called not knowing where to go I said I had 2 check ins gave you the names and you said Captains House. When I did arrive you did not want to leave and allow the other guest to enter creating the unorganized chaos. The listing is very clear the pool is open in summer and across the street 2.5 blocks walk and we are very sure there were kitchen utensils. It is unfortunate that you chose to write a very bad disingenuous review during XMAS week, although you did share on your review that you did enjoy the rental, the yard and hot tub. Perhaps its best to f.orgive any mistakes as we all are imperfect . What you put out into the Universe is what will return. The Secret.

Great beach cottage - one of the last in Clearwater

Easter Vacation
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful time at the property and enjoyed all of the walking distance attractions. You are so close to the beach and dozens of restaurants and bars. The cottage was a perfect home base for exploring Clearwater Beach. We’ll definitely be returning, this place is a gem!

Rustic charm

Great place close to the beach….
Publié le 6 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWalk everywhere you want extremely convenient to restaurants and the beach! Brought my 2 labs and they had a great time. They are 10 yrs old so the 1 level cottage was perfect. Will definitely stay here again.

Cute Place

I feel like better photos could be taken to allow families to know they wouldn't be as cramped as you think you will be due to photos. We were excited to use the hot-tub for our 6 & 8 year old, but once we got there the information was provided that no children under 8 were allowed in the hot tub, which would have been nice to know prior. The backyard area was nice, but unfortunately no one else was out there when we stayed. We were hoping for other families to be there, but obviously couldn't be controlled. Close to the beach, and had sand toys for the kids. My kids loved the pool across the street, but it is not free, you get a discount for staying there. Came out out like $5 for the whole family.

Dear Jamie: Glad to hear you found the Corner Cottage cue and well kept and bigger than you expected. Appreciate your four star review and glad you found the back yard area nice. I guess the other guests were all on the beach glad you found our cottage close to the beach and the kids enjoyed all the sand toys we provide. The tickets the pool are free all you need to do is ask for them, but you see it s only $5 for the family when you let them know you are staying with Cottages of Clearwater. All hotels have rules about children not using hot tubs as the chlorine level lis high and its just not recommended. Thank you for staying with us and welcome back anytime Capt AL
