Cozy and roomy cottage

This original grove keepers cottage with original tractor barn which once laid claim to an expansive working orange grove in the 1940's. Although the grove has been sold off and developed over the years the remaining 1 acre provides a private tropical sanctuary for its guest in the geographic center of charming Dunedin. .
Cottage #1, has a fireplace, Cottage #2 has tiki hut .


Less 10 minutes and you will be to the quaint shops and restaurants and right 15 minutes to Dunedin causeway and Honeymoon Island State Park. "About the property" as pictures illustrate, The gated property is a tropical oasis that the owners have nurtured over the last 20 years. Enjoy vistas of native and subtropical plants and trees. Start your day with a stretch in the private Zen garden, yoga mats provided.

Feed the turtles and Koi in the Koi pond. Take a dip in the lagoon pool (not heated) or just relax on the hammock under the tiki hut. Landscape lights on at night create a romantic setting for couples. "About the cottage", dine in style inside or out, upscale Bohemian furnishings combine with eclectic original artwork set the stage for a truly awesome holiday experience. You will be hooked and be back like so many of our guests, again and again.

Amazing
You would never know this little paradise was right off of the street. So well kept , and our cottage was spotless and gave us everything we needed for our 10 day stay. Lori and Gary were wonderful (and my husband knew Gary and hasn’t seen him for years…a great reunion). We will, definitely, go back there, without a doubt. A wonderful place, relaxing, stress free, and overall, the best.

A step off the planet
As described and reviewed. Enjoyed the tropical setting. Pool was shaded, clean and refreshing. Hot tub was clean, relaxing and well maintained. Fish pond was amazing. Saw a white Egret(bird) at the fish pond upon arrival. We got settled in and were relaxing on the front porch, pond within feet away. Found fish food container on our table. Sprinkled some around the pond. No fish appeared. Next day we went about town. We found a fish store and bought 20 gold fish at 48 cents each. Put them in pond when we got back. Probably should have asked first, but we are a pond owner also. We put a little food in for them. After a few minutes the food had spread across the pond. Then, in a moment, the pond erupted with many many fish! The first night they stayed at the bottom because of the bird. Anyway, it was a great place to chill and wind down. Plenty of beautiful beach n things to do. The owners were great and made sure everything was there for you to chill and enjoy. Great job by all who make this place special.

Mermaid Oasis
The property is everything the description and photos depict. Grounds are like staying in a piece of paradise. The Mermaid cottage is furnished with period furniture and the bedroom looks out over the beautiful lagoon pool patio. We were not "wanting" for anything more during our stay. Our host was very responsive. The location was perfect for short rides into town. Parking on the property was plentiful.

Quiet tropical hideaway
Beautiful property! Close to downtown Dunedin, shopping, restaurants, beaches, etc., but felt like you are a million miles away because of the lush tropical landscape. Accommodations are well appointed with everything you need for a wonderful getaway.

We really enjoyed this property! It was like being in a tropical garden. We stayed in the Mermaid Cottage for our 30th anniversary. Very convenient to downtown Dunedin and Honeymoon Island & Caladesi State Parks. Several good restaurants and breweries close by. Owners live on site and were very friendly.

Tranquil Stay near Honeymoon Island
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is clean and well maintained. The owners did a great job creating a little tropical oasis where you can kick back and relax. Our favorite part was the hot tub. Especially at this time of the year when the temperatures drop at night. Only a 15 minute drive to Honeymoon Island State Park. The room includes beach towels. They also have a few beach chairs and bikes that you can use while you're there. Recommend eating at Prohibition Dunedin. The brisket was delicious.

Tropical Oasis
If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place. There is more than one cottage on the property, which I don’t recall if that was mentioned in the listing, but each one is pretty private. Absolutely loved the lush tropical gardens with whimsical yard art, wind chimes, fountains, swings, hammocks, and colorful lighting in every nook and cranny. The turtle/fish pond was delightful. The swimming pool very relaxing. Inside the cottage was just as adorable as the outdoors. Location is conveniently close to (but not walkable to) historic downtown Dunedin and beaches. It’s located off a Main Street and next to a mobile home community, but once you drive in, you are transported to a tropical oasis. Would definitely return!!

Surprising Slice of Paradise
My husband and I loved our mid-week stay at this property. As soon as we pulled through the front gate, we were greeted with beautiful tropical landscaping and so many thoughtful features. The turtle and koi pond were lovely and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub too. Drinking our morning coffee by the pool was perfect. Our rental included everything I can think of, was super clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We were very impressed with the level of attention to detail. Would definitely come again and highly recommend as the perfect little getaway spot and a great launchpad to explore Pinellas county.

My husband and I had driven to Miami to visit our son and then wanted to spend some time on the gulf. 2 nights was not enough. We could have stayed another day or two easily. We enjoyed the pool and foliage immensely. If you need a retreat from the craziness, this is the place.
