Charming little home, 30 second walk to the beach, well stocked, comfortable... Clean, with the exception of the 'Palmetto Bug', aka cockroach on the kitchen floor at 3AM, which was the size of a small car... The cash 'cleaning fee' that I was charged after I arrived wasn't fun either, though I was told via email in advance I would be. Can't say I agree with this practice, felt like I was being robbed...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry about the palmetto bug but this is Florida, a tropical climate and home to these critters. I have the house sprayed every month and rarely are these seen but I am afraid you were the exception. As far as the cleaning fee, this is commonly charged in any home reservation. I realize Expedia is mostly hotel rooms and they don't generally charge a cleaning fee. Since they started adding houses like ours the cleaning fee has been added to the contract but not charged in the initial payment. We have to add it on as it costs me more to clean the place then you are paying for a nights rent. If you go to any other vacation rental you will see the cleaning fee charged so you weren't robbed.
