Convention
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe ended up with five women all going to a convention on Jekyll Island. We stayed on St Simons because they have better restaurants and amenities. This house was perfect for us. We we’re all able to pile up on the couch and watch the Georgia Bulldogs game Saturday night. We felt like we were at home. Beautiful big house. Great location.

Great Stay!
Publié le 15 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed at this house for a long weekend to see family with our infant, three year old, and my parents, and it was a spacious house that was well-appointed with everything you need—we love to cook, and they even had a microplane (IYKYK!), as well as plenty of wine glasses, dishwasher and laundry tabs, and lots of extra pillows and towels.
The location is great-walkable to the trail by the marsh and close to grocery stores and restaurants.
The hosts were responsive and the house was clean and ready when we arrived. We’ll definitely rent this house again!

We try to provide everything and more so cooking or bringing food to the house for a large family is easy. Plus the super long dinning table and dining room make it easy as well. Great stay for wedding.

Need more dish towels and washcloths.
Couldn't use grill...rusted out and unusable. Was planning on grilling..didn’t know until we were preparing to grill; very disappointed. Loved the house! We were very comfortable and the host was so nice. Would definitely recommend this house!

Thank you for a five star review. We are glad you loved the house. Just to clarify, we do not indicate anywhere on the listing or description that there is a grill available. SSI is an island and the salt air just quickly destroys grills. The grill that is there just needs to be removed from the property. I’m sorry you didn’t understand from our listing that there was not a grill. Most guests will bring or buy a charcoal grill so grilling is an option. Thanks again and come back soon. Tom and Amy

So this is not a legitimate review of the property. This guest put 6 guests on the reservation and showed up with 9. He left the house a complete mess, broke the refrigerator and there was a sticky substance all over the floors. I messaged him about these things and he refused to pay the extra person fees. I kept his $200 damage deposit to help pay for the additional cleaning fees incurred and for a small portion of the extra guests fee. He gave the house 3 stars as revenge, trying to negatively affect our business. I would never rent to him again and rated him with 1 star. Thank goodness we rarely get nightmare guests but this is what happens. The house is rated “exceptional “ by VRBO and we have over 145 FIVE star reviews. We pride ourselves in our properties and work extremely hard to provide a fantastic stay.

Beautiful home
