Nice resort with a lovely pool and small private beach, but we didn’t realize they don’t provide complimentary room service so keeping the room clean was an issue as we invariably brought in some sand everyday. The drinks & snack shop by the pool has very limited hours. No service provided by the beach so it’s not really like a resort but more like an apartment-hotel, where you are on your own for everything. The shop for guests to buy any supplies inside is expensive. Onsite restaurant was ok but overpriced as well.

We chose the Limetree because of its price, appearance, and location; close to other properties and near downtown. The beaches looked nice and the hotel updated. Upon arriving at the the hotel, the receptionist said that we were moved to another property. They said we were notified but were not. We watched as they offered another incoming guest a drink. It would have gone a long way if the receptionists had been apologetic and accommodating in any way. I read other reviews that stated similiar experiences, but I thought it was a fluke. Not so! The other property we were moved to had lower ratings and charged less per night; yet we were not given a discount. The location of the alternate hotel was isolated and the beaches were pretty gross. There were ants in the room, a leaking toilet and the room was dated. It was really far from where we wanted to be. At least management were kind at the second place.

Didn’t have the booking days correct. I paid in full on Hotels.com and the hotel had us checking out 2 days sooner. Got that fixed. Ended up charged another $1500 when we checked out. They don’t know really why and will look into it supposedly. Boxes and empty containers in our room when we got there. Had to ask for more towels, toilet paper, etc. The room was also much smaller than the pics on website. We had friends that stayed as well and there room was what the the website looked like and they didn’t have trash in their room upon check in.

If you want to be on vacation where the hotel pool and amenities is also the community pool to locals then this is your place. Called the hotel to address the issue and their response was why didn’t you inform us ? Well, I wasn’t aware that was my job and also there is a security that walks laps around the resort. shouldn’t he have that responsibility not the guest? Isn’t that his job? There are many animals on the property, which wouldn’t be an issue if they actually kept them away from the pool deck. You can expect to swim with duck, rooster, chicken and/or iguana poop along with all the locals. Other guest attempted to clean some of it up with leaves only to have other guest step right into it. Extremely unhygienic. On the first night we had the fire alarm go off in the middle of the night. A glitch maybe or out of battery not sure. We called for assistance, no one came to check on the alarm until The next day 4pm. Thankfully We were able to mute it after an hour of nonstop ringing ourselves. We are Still waiting on the towels we never received. Sometimes you call for the golf cart to take you uphill to the lobby and it may or may not show up - another guest had to walk up this hill in high heels (unfortunately). The prices at the bar are more expensive than other resorts. We went to newly opened Westin property and they had cheaper prices for much better service, food/drinks and ambience.

They kept charging my credit card every couple if days & I didn’t authorize it . The last day thru charged me $575 and when I asked what it was for they told me it was just a hold. It did hit home off so I am disputing it .
