Old Cottage in Wraysbury on the Themes
Publié le 19 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayFamily and friend gathering. 9 adults over 50 years old. We enjoyed being on the Themes and spent our time outside. The house is not meant for that many adults even though it has 5 bedrooms. Many of the beds were too short and one room is clearly a children’s room. The place needs some TLC on furniture, rugs, beds (sag in middle) and outdoor cleanliness…lots of spider webs. But that also adds to the charm. Things to note. One room has up and down steps to bathroom and a very narrow opening. We called it the Hobbit room. The on sight manager couple was so friendly and helpful! Such a bonus!! It is about a 15 minute drive to Windsor. We recommend you cook as the old kitchen is great and eat at George’s nearby. Enjoy!!

Publié le 21 août 2024 sur HomeAwayA charming place with Hansel & Gretel touches to the architecture. The swimming pool and hot tub were a hit with our four granddaughters, and their parents.
Highly recommend a walk in and around the area, picking blackberries in the meadows and to Magna Carta lane. A cozy living room for the family to gather in.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location
Publié le 22 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed with 3generations of family for a long weekend. The house has lots of character and had a lovely garden and pool that was well used by all the family . Someone was available whenever we needed to ask any questions.
We would definitely stay there again .

Wonderful in Old Windsor
Publié le 24 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had an amazing stay at the Old Wharf Cottage in Windsor. The home is amazing and a wonderful location. We loved having the pool, bbq and area for croquet. It was easy to get around town with our rental car or Uber. The hosts were great and easy to connect with as needed. This was one of the key highlights of our two weeks in the UK. We recommend to others and hopefully will be able to return in the years to come.

River living
Publié le 18 juin 2023 sur HomeAwayThis property is located in a very quiet neighborhood with a nice outdoor area along the river Thames. The house is very rustic as a Cottage should be. The beds are very comfortable, but at night we got a little hot. The property manager brought us some fans which helped a lot.
Uber availability was very good and the average cost to go to Windsor Castle was about $16. We did not do a lot of cooking, but when we did, we sat outside . We went to the Georges steakhouse, which is about 3/4 of a mile away for some excellent meals.
Overall, I would come back again and recommend it to my friends and family.

Glad you and your family had a nice stay. The Weather was unpredictably hot for this time of year but hopefully the pool and fans helped cool you down :)
