Spectacular views
Publié le 13 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayI could not possibly have enjoyed my stay anymore! The views were beautiful and the hiking paths were astounding. My stay was during the time when the leaves were changing and falling. It was truly unbelievably beautiful! I visited the winery called Revelation in the Hebron Valley. The sunset was beautiful and the wine was delicious. The Blue Ridge Mountains were gorgeous and I also visited the Shanandoah river. I just couldn't get enough of the area and I can't wait to come back! Well done Alton!

Publié le 8 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe got there with no problem and the whole property presents beautifully. Especially being fall with the leaves turning. But, it truly would be a beautiful place at any time of year.
Everything you could need is there for you. The host was extremely responsive and pleasant.
It feels like you're in the middle of nowhere, but you can be in town in minutes, and in Charlottesville in just a few more. Great location. Would definitely recommend this property.

Relaxing and peaceful
Publié le 2 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayAn absolutely lovely place overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains. Quiet and well maintained. Comfortable bed. Property has 2 VERY friendly farm cats, so be aware if you are allergic. We love cats and wete happy to have their company, missing our own while away. Property uses well water which has a high iron odor, safe to drink and bathe in. Beautiful star-filled skies at night and close by to Shenandoah National Park. Farmer's Market on Saturday was also delightful.
Overall an excellent experience. We will definitely return!

Thanks' for your Five Star review. We are committed to maintaining our vacation rentals as Five Star and are delighted that 98% of our reviews are Five Stars.
Our guests do love our barn cats but we do not allow them in the cottages since our vacation rentals are maintained as Pet Free for those who have allergies.
Our well water does naturally have minerals but the slight iron smell is from the hot water due to reaction with ionizer in hot water tanks. We periodically flush the hot water tank to rid the hot water of this faint smell of iron. The flushing was just pass due when you were here and, hence , the faint smell of iron in the hot water when showering.

Gorgeous country retreat - relaxing and refreshing

We enjoyed the quiet and views of the stars while also being close to nearby favorite activities and things to do in the Charlottesville surrounding areas. The pool was a highlight & it was fun to walk the trails on the property as well.

Perfect getaway!

The little carriage house was adorable and comfortable/clean. We loved the farm itself and the little town was so cute! would definitely come back again.
