Wonderful Snowy Getaway
Publié le 5 janv. 2025 sur HomeAwayThis place is 5 stars for many reasons. The location is ideal for anyone looking to ski Heavenly. The Stagecoach lodge and chairlift is a short 4-minute walk from the front door. There are restaurants and markets within walking distance. The cabin is cozy and clean. Nice kitchen and dining area. Great views from the reading nook and decks. Three big bedrooms and two nice bathrooms with showers. The downstairs bathroom has a big jacuzzi tub. There's plenty of storage for your wet ski equipment behind a locked door on the front deck. Overall, it is the perfect Tahoe experience.

I really appreciate such a though and wonderful review! We think it is pretty perfect for skiing as well. But come back this summer and see how perfect it is for hiking! One of the best hiking trails is also a 4-minute walk away. Happy new year! Jane

Ski trip
Publié le 1 janv. 2025 sur HomeAwayThis was a wonderful place to stay! It was about 12 minute drive to heavenly village and we were able to walk about 5 minutes to get to our ski lift. Great location and a beautiful condo.

Perfect Christmas Cabin
Publié le 29 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family has been trying to plan a white Christmas in the mountains for several years now. This cabin worked out perfectly! Great location, walking distance to Heavenly Resort and ski lift. There are 2 restaurants and a general store within walking distance as well. Next to the general store, there is a perfect hill for sledding. There is a shuttle bus stop across the street from the cabin that is free and is only a 15-minute bus ride into South Lake Tahoe for all kinds of activities. The cabin is very cozy. The view from the patio decks across the valley is absolutely amazing. The indoor spa is just as spectacular as the pictures make it look; a perfect way to unwind after playing in the snow all day. The host, Jane, was awesome; very responsive and helpful on the VRBO app with all of our questions. The previous guests broke the coffee pot, and she ensured a new one was delivered the day of our arrival. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Jane!

Perfect Thanksgiving

Disappointing stay - Owner refused accountability
Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayJane was gracious & gave us early check in. When we arrived the laundry room was flooded with standing water. We immediately contacted her to let her know and sent video/pictures to try to help. She thanked us for letting her know and said she would contact someone (we told her no rush as we did not need the laundry room). The following day we were shocked to get a message from Jane that the she gave door code to a repair person who was in the condo WITHOUT our knowledge. It was an intrusion of privacy as I had my jewelry on the counter; professional courtesy would have been to notify us prior to his arrival. We drove back to the unit immediately & had to sit there for almost 2 hours while he did the repair. The code to the front door was not changed after his visit so we didn’t have peace of mind for security the rest of our stay.The outlets in both bathrooms didn’t work and the fans were covered in dust (my husband cleaned them in the sink because they were so filthy). Also, the air ducts were caked in dust. We were awoken at 5 AM each morning from the unit above that had a young child stomping around and screaming. Went back-and-forth with Jane as she refused to refund us the cleaning fee & she threatened to give the owners of the condo above us our names because we “yelled” at the parents who could not control their child at 5 AM. I am very thankful that my credit card company refunded us after they viewed the photos of the unit and message history with the owner.

We love hosting but every once in a while you have a guest who makes you question hosting. We could not make this guest happy. Yes we had a leak that she discovered in our laundry room. Our hot water heater cracked. This is something sm no one can control. We did send our plumber over immediately and told the guest she didn't need to wait with him. We have used that company many times over the years. We would have happily changed the code or even given her access to the security system if she told us she was uncomfortable. Our neighbors complained after showing me their ring camera footage of her yelling at the children who were staying in another unit. The kids weren't doing anything wrong..I watched the footage. Please see the over 150 5 star reviews we have.. We strive to keep our guests happy but sometimes you can't do anything to make someone happy. They are just unhappy people.

Anniversary weekend

Lots of steps going up to unit (can’t remember if that’s listed in the description) so could be hard to get to for people with mobility issues. The hosts were great at communicating and making sure we had everything we needed.

We agree... Best sunrises in Tahoe! Yes, Tahoe in general has steps. I guess it's the price to pay for being in the mountains. 😂 Ha ha

Loved the accommodation.
Publié le 4 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed for 2 nights. House is great. Rooms are appropriate. Have a hot tub in the bathroom within the house. Balcony with a view and great living room to spend time with your friends. Beds are softer (I prefer firmer for myself). Loved the overall stay.

Bachelorette Weekend
Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HomeAwayBooked this stay for my friend's bachelorette weekend and we had the best time. Jane was supper responsive and gave us some recommendations. The house is located in a great area if you want to go hiking, to the beach, or go downtown for dinner. Would recommend!
