Nothing Special/Tiny Common Area
Publié le 12 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayMeh. We had a good weekend. Great shower pressure. Plenty of space to sleep, but the common area is cramped. Microwave was broken so a big one taking up counter space was there, making it tighter in an already tight kitchen. Dishwasher wasn’t secured to the counter so that made it an adventure opening it up. There is also no light over the dining table which made it hard to see to eat/play games at night. The parking situation is also bothersome if you have more than 2 cars… which most people will given you can sleep up to 10 people here. Responsive property management. Overall
Nothing to write home about but gets the job done of a ski condo in the mountains if you’re able to deal with minor annoyances and have a smaller party.

Weekend in Steamboat
Publié le 27 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe property is very nice. There are a ton of cooking utensils, appliances, etc which makes cooking there very easy. They even had cookie cutters if you wanted to bake cookies. There are a lot of games to play which was also a nice touch.
Despite the property being very nice with a great location, I would not stay here again. Be prepared that there are A LOT of “rules” to follow when staying here. Don’t worry about forgetting what the rules are because they are laminated throughout the house to constantly remind you that you are doing something wrong. Not very relaxing…
I had communication with both the property management and the adjacent neighbors on both sides (who were both very cool) about parking. Then next morning received texts and phone calls to let us know we had “been reported” for illegal parking. Come on…
I get it. Nomadness Properties is taking care of their property but I won’t be staying at another Nomadness location. Thanks for enrolling me in the Nomadness emails without asking. Loved that too…

This complex is known to be extremely particular about their parking rules and regulations, which is why we are transparent and explain this information within the website description. The parking isn't monitored by the neighbors, but the actual complex and HOA board.
As our experience has shown, this information, along with check-in instructions, are not always read through thoroughly, and these restrictions can be overlooked. We provided the signage throughout the property as a friendly reminder of the parking expectations at this unit.
Unfortunately, when these are not followed, the HOA contacts us to let us know of the illegal parking arrangements. We do not wish to bother our guests on their Nomadness getaways; however, to avoid fines to you and to the homeowner, it is in everyone's best interest that we notify our guests of their situation immediately.
We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the property and, should you choose to visit again, you'll understand the reasoning behind the parking signage posted throughout the unit.

Great ski weekend
Publié le 14 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayMy family and I went up to Steamboat to get some turns in. This VRBO proved to be a great place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked. The location pretty good. Really clean.
The check in process could have been less involved. But it was great overall!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. This unit in particular has a wonderful layout perfect for a family ski vacation. You can truly live like a local, which is what this neighborhood is built for. That being said, we want to make sure that our guests are abiding by the strict parking rules so that everyone can fit their vehicles properly, especially on big snow days like we have been getting this winter. Steamboat Wedding Get Away

AVOID THIS UNIT AT ALL COSTS
Publié le 29 juin 2022 sur HomeAwayWhile the unit is as described, the reality of working with the property management company and owner should be avoided at all costs. There were three incidents that occurred while we stayed at the unit (for three nights) that took us out of vacation mode and dropped us into reality.
The first morning that we were in the unit, I received a text from the unit owner at 7:45am about an ongoing parking dispute that he/she is in with the townhome neighbor with an ask to move my car from a designated parking spot that came along with the unit. Really, no big deal had the rest of what occurred not happened.
The second night in the unit, the Carbon Monoxide detector repeatedly went off. The rental company did not answer our initial calls, so we called the fire department as we were concerned about the safety of our children. The fire department came and checked the levels in the unit and we were safe. As you can imagine, not a great way to unwind while on vacation.
The next day, the rental company called and said they were going to come and change the batteries in the Carbon Monoxide detector. That evening, the alarm continued to go off. We called the management company and they sent out a representative. She came and went twice trying to fix the detector. When she came back a second time, she looked at me and said, 'I have no idea what I am doing.' It turns out that she was being incredibly honest. She had replaced the smoke detector. We called the non-emergency number for a second night in a row. This time we were talked through the situation and the fire department did not have to come. The 'fix' was to unplug the Carbon Monoxide detector. Not really 'safety first, but all good.
When we arrived home after the trip, I reached out to the management company to request a partial refund. I was disrespected throughout the process and was given a final answer after being presented a wildly one-sided story. Again, the rental company was unhelpful which is a theme of our experience and this review.
Steamboat is an amazing town. There are a ton of great rental properties to stay in when you visit. I HIGHLY recommend staying at this property at all costs.

We have discussed your stay outside the VRBO platform and are sorry to feel you had to report your experience, as such.
In regard to the parking phone call, we have clearly stated both in the check-in instructions and welcome book the parking regulations and restrictions for the complex. In addition, we have these posted throughout the property as a reminder. We have these so our guests clearly know where to park during their visit. Since this complex enforces their parking regulations, we figured an early phone call requesting you relocate your vehicle was a better alternative to your car being towed.
We received 2 reports from your party regarding the carbon monoxide detectors going off, at which time we sent our on-call staff to check the alarms and change batteries as needed. The first call coincided with your call to the local fire department, at which time all parties found no evidence of carbon monoxide inside the unit. Our team still went around the unit and changed the batteries in these mechanisms, as a precautionary measure to avoid alarms going off due to low batteries. We were called back the following night with the same issue and sent a team member to the property once again for assistance. We sent our team back that evening and during their hour-long visit, reported no alarms beeping. Our maintenance team is available 24 hours a day and we could have sent additional team members to address this NOT in the late evening hours, had it been reported a second time before nightfall.
When we received your request for a full refund of your stay, we carefully reviewed all the issues and the experience you had. You advised our team to get the records from the Steamboat Springs fire department regarding their 2 visits. To fully comprehend the issues, we did receive the reports from the fire department, noting that 1 – only one call was made on the first night, not 2 calls on 2 different nights and 2 – the party appeared to be intoxicated.
Based on the above and our team being dispatched to remedy the situation, we were unable to grant a full refund, as was requested.
We do understand your frustrations with this decision but, do understand, this was made after a thorough inspection was completed.

Great location
Publié le 17 févr. 2022 sur HomeAwayThis property was only a 8min drive to the ski lifts. The property living room and dining area were small for our group size (7 adults, teens, 1 child). The bedrooms were a great size and each room had it's own bathroom which was much appreciated. The pot and pans were not non-stick making them difficult to clean.

Nice house
Publié le 8 févr. 2022 sur HomeAwayUpon arrival dishes were still wet and dirty. Smelled like booze. There was a vomit smell in one of the bedrooms. It was a nice house with a good location unfortunately it appears the guests before us did quite a bit of partying and the management company did not have enough time to properly clean before my group checked in.
