Tranquil historic setting
Publié le 31 oct. 2024 sur HomeAway The hosts were wonderful, so considerate. Fresh eggs, butter, milk, cereal, muffins & fresh fruit were awaiting us. Being able to wander this property was a dream! The hiking trails are challenging but so worth the gorgeous autumn views. Paddle boarding on the lake was fun. They left enough firewood for us to have the fire in the log cabin going for both our nights. This place gives private camp vibes with the three spread out properties. AMAZING!! Can’t wait to go back.

Perfect Getaway Spot

When we opened the door, it felt like we were walking into Charles & Caroline Ingall's home on "Little House on the Prairie". Hosts were so gracious. They provided eggs, milk, juice, fresh fruit, cereal, and assorted chips. Would love to come back again and explore the property. We were with friends and had plans to spend the day in the Amish Country. Highly recommend this property! If you love rustic, but with modern conveniences, this is the place for you!

Off the beaten path

Pros:
Communication was easy all questions were answered. We were welcomed on arrival by owners by phone and two house cats!!
The cabin was very clean and all the stuff you would need to cook.
The breakfast left was nice ( muffins, orange juice, eggs, apples, and bananas)
A lot of land to walk around and explore and two lakes to use. Very peaceful and enjoyable! Two decks to sit on and a back area by a charcoal grill ( bees nest in the corner of the house and the bees were active)
Cons:
There was an inside fire pit we did not see the outside pit. There was a ban for fires so that was very disappointing. We love to sit around a fire pit and enjoy a nice fire.
I wish the area with the fireplace was a living room with a couch maybe that could be the pull out bed) and some chairs (the bench did not seem enjoyable to sit by a fireplace) The area with the two chairs was nice, but was uncomfortable after awhile. The TV was very small. Just my opinion not a deal breaker for enjoying the cabin because it was very nice!
I wish there was a gas grill, I had to bring my portable one with us.
There was a loft area the steps were super steep I never went up there ( afraid of heights, lol)...maybe some rails for safety would be a suggestion.
Overall a super cute , clean, peaceful, and enjoyable stay!
Wish list item would a hot tub... it would of been amazing to enjoy a hot tub in that amazing setting.

Real old cabin
