The rental is located just six miles from the scenic slopes of Stowe Mountain and Mount Mansfield, the tallest mountain in Vermont. Strap on your skis and carve out some tracks in the snow, or enjoy an invigorating hike through the dense hardwood forests. In the evening, take a drive into downtown Stowe, where you can follow the Stowe Craft Beverage Trail through the town's many breweries and cideries, or enjoy a performance by the Vermont Symphony Orchestra.

THINGS TO KNOW

* As of November 2020, the amenities at Mountainside, including the gym and sauna, are currently closed for the foreseeable future due to state rules and regulations. Thank you for understanding.

** The pool and hot tub will be open Tuesday through Saturday each week. A signup sheet for a 45-minute usage slot will be provided in your confirmation email or you can call Vacasa to request a link.

***Starting Friday, December 20, 2024, due to necessary repairs to the retaining wall, the parking lot for Buildings F and G will be closed during the winter months. We anticipate the repair work to be completed by spring to early summer 2025. As a safety precaution cars are not being allowed to park in F and G lot. Please note that the retaining wall is for support of the parking lot and does not affect the condominium structure.

Alternative Parking Arrangements:

To accommodate you during this time, there are designated over 20 parking spots in the following areas:

* Tennis court driveway
* Across from the office and check-in area
* For added convenience, a stairway has been constructed from the tennis court driveway leading directly to the entrances of Buildings F and G.

We regret any disruption this may cause, if you have any questions or need assistance with the new parking arrangements, please do not hesitate to reach out to the Mountainside Resort office located on the premises.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Great location but unit needs thorough deep cleaning, updated WiFi, new outlets as plugs fall out of current outlets, updated lighting, thermostat to gas logs was hard to cut on. We had to clean the fan, wash pots and pans before we could use them.

Fantastic spot
This was a great find. Not an updated interior but its location was fantastic. The Alchemist across the street, mountain bike trails very close in several directions, and lots of other good spots nearby. The large deck and windows within provide beautiful views of the mountains.

Stowe 3BR condo
The Mountainside Resort had condos that were probably from the 1970s. The AC was not turned on when we got there so it was very hot inside. The condo had only one Window type AC in the living room, which took all night to even cool the condo to a tolerable temperature. Water pressure in the tubs was virtually non-existent. Took 15 minutes to get warm water and then the water pressure turned to just a trickle. Not very happy with this condo.

Good location, needs a remodel.
Location is great. Able to walk to the shuttle into a few restaurants. Property itself left a lot to be desired, very old, and some of the things didn’t work, including the Wi-Fi. We also didn’t have hot water for the first day and the property management team was non-responsive. The Wi-Fi never worked the whole weekend and the dishwasher also didn’t drain. The photos were accurate in terms of the place being dated but they didn’t really reflect just how small the rooms are.

Nice enough condo, small rooms beds cramed in. Was actually too small for four adults. Ok for a family with kids, not four adult men. Hot water did not work great when we got there and didnt work at all the last night. Response was pleasant enough from Vacasa but it didn't get us any water...... will not rent again.

Conference getaway
The three of us were attending The Stowe Basketry Conference. We found the condo to be very convenient, clean and comfortable. We were able to cook our own breakfast and dinners, each had our own bedroom, we shared two bathrooms, and room to socialize in the living area. We sat on the deck, listened to the birds, and watched people play pickelball on the tennis courts. We would love to come back again.

Disappointing
Spent the first hour cleaning this house .if you consider the pandemic it was shocking . Pot and pan were dirty , micro wave stove top and all the cutlery needed to be washed . We decided to sanitize all surface (could not trust it was done . The condo was very worn and needs to be remodeled Very disappointing We look forward to this trip every year

The living room furniture has had lots of use; it doesn't look bad, but it sits terrible. Also one of the chairs at the table was broken. The shower door in master bath was off the track, and dishwasher had a sign it was out of order.

My two sisters families and my own traveled up here for a funeral. Both my sisters rooms are completely brand new, updated, comfortable, clean. My room that cost more than theirs for whatever reason, looks 70 years old. The master bed sheets have something red stained on them, the comforter is all stained yellow. The master sink is leaking all underneath all over the floor. Both my girls needed to shower after the pool and only my first daughter had hot water for 20 minutes so my other child had to take a cold shower. There was no hot water from the sink so I had to wash my face in ice cold water. The fire place was a box of old and rusty junk which did not look safe to use, meanwhile my sisters rooms both had brand new built in the wall fireplaces. We had no washer and dryer like their room has. We had no TVs in the bedrooms like their rooms all had. Their rooms all had brand new down comforter bedding, brand new everything. We tried going out on the balcony but there was several huge hornets all over the outside door so there must be a nest in there making us not able to go out there. The beds were rock hard and extremely old. I can’t even believe the difference of rooms we were put in when we paid more. I’m incredibly disappointed especially for how much this costs and I would never go back after this experience. I also have many pictures and videos for proof if needed. I hope someone contacts me in regards to this awful experience. Thank you.

Mid week skiing
The unit was sufficient for our purposes. Comfortable bedding with sufficient linens, towels, kitchen stuff. We had an issue with a slow draining MBR sink and once half filled, started leaking/dripping underneath onto the floor. We went to the office before heading to the mountain but it was closed. There was an emergency number on the door. We called it and left a message about our concern. No one got back to us. Once back from skiing we called a number on the gratuity envelope which states, "If you need assistance throughout your stay please call the office at....", it was a running message instructing us to leave an email message with Mountain Resort Inn. No one got back to us until the next morning via email stating that this unit is not the responsibility of the office therefore we needed to contact the booking agent or owner directly. We contacted Vacasa. 10-15 minute wait on the phone and the person stated that they would contact the local group to address the issue and that someone would contact me for the ETA on when they would address the issue. No contact... the issue was never addressed during our stay. Horrible.

Great Location and good value
This is a great location in Stowe that is close to the town, but also feels likes you are hidden in the woods. The furnishings are a bit dated, but overall it was clean and fairly comfortable. We did have a little bit of an issue trying to get the heat regulated in the different bedrooms, but it was not too bad. There is a community building just up the hill with laundry, pool, hot tub, sauna and workout room. It seemed well maintained and clean. We felt this property was a good value and would be willing to come back here again in the future.
