Relaxing Texas Themed Home Nestled in the Palo Pinto Mountains

Comfy and clean two bedroom home that is in a small town with an amazing view of the stars. Just a few miles to the soon to be open Palo Pinto Mountains State Park and a gorgeous 30 minute drive to Possum Kingdom Lake. Very comfortable hotel quality beds and a full kitchen for cooking. Washer and dryer provided. A large television is in the living area. It is a great retreat from the big city and will certainly allow some rest and relaxation. Great restaurants in close proximity.

one night stay
owner is very rude and aggressive and watches you through ring cameras. They were mad because we didn't go to bed at a certain time plus had a couple of extra people we didn't expect to have stay with us. We were woken and demanded to leave with of more charges for the unplanned guests. We tried to remedy the situation with the owner and they are just so rude. We will use this again. And there are zero mountains/hills in the vecinity.

Super clean, cozy, lovely place to escape!
The house is very clean and decorated wonderfully. The location is quiet and you really feel like you’ve escaped the city. Owner couldn’t have been nicer and recommended great hiking trails and places to eat. They are filming “1883” in this sleepy town next week. Highly recommend if you need a getaway to a clean spot. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Angela!!

Absolutely the perfect place to stay in Palo Pinto county.
Just an all around great place to stay. Host keeps the property clean and comfortable. I enjoy this area of Texas. Everytime I visit I meet great people, learn new history, and always amazed by the natural beauty or the region.

Always a relaxing stay.
Absolutely love staying here. The house is always clean and comfortable. The host is obviously very involved in the up keep of the property because it feels like a home away from home, not a "hotel".😁. I highly recommend if your visiting the area.

Great short stay in Strawn
My husband and I stayed in this lovely home during a visit to see some family in Texas who live a few towns away. Very close to the I-20, Strawn is an easily accessible place to stay if you'd prefer a private rental to one of the hotels in Eastland or even further away in Abilene. We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, and how clean and comfortable it was. Communicating with the host was no issue and she was very responsive. The check-in and check-out process could not have been easier which is always appreciated. We had a great time!

Countryside serenity within the city limits.
Local thunderstorms brought much needed rain to the area. It also added another layer of ambience to this property. Natural sights, sounds, and scents. Flowers blooming,frogs singing and a clean ,crisp smell in the air. Absolute relaxation. 😁

I searched for nearby homes/hotels at Possum lake area and couldn't get it , luckily I found this one, and it is AMAZING. The tile "Relaxing Texas Themed Home Nestled in the Palo Pinto Mountains " is perfect. My family really enjoyed this place, and we will definitely visit if we can.

I rented this super cute house for my dad to stay in for 3 nights. It is clean, comfortable and very quiet. The home owner is wonderful and was easy to contact with all my questions. I will definitely be booking this house again.

Last minute weekend trip to Possum Kingdom Lake area.
We had a last minute opportunity to go exploring the area around Possum Kingdom Lake with some friends. As we searched almost everything was understandably booked. Then we found this cute home in Strawn that had just been listed for the first time. We booked immediately and are so glad we did! It was clean, comfortable and Angela was a delight to communicate with. We only stayed one night THIS time, but look forward to a longer stay at our next opportunity.
