one night stay
Publié le 30 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayowner is very rude and aggressive and watches you through ring cameras. They were mad because we didn't go to bed at a certain time plus had a couple of extra people we didn't expect to have stay with us. We were woken and demanded to leave with of more charges for the unplanned guests. We tried to remedy the situation with the owner and they are just so rude. We will use this again. And there are zero mountains/hills in the vecinity.

Katie booked my small home for 2 people and 7 showed up. The house smelled like marijuana and guests were outside until 5am passing around a lit cigarette of some sort and drinking. When I told the guests that the house smelled like smoke, their response was “some people smoke these days”. We have elderly neighbors and families so being outside until 5am drinking and smoking was definitely unacceptable. The day of check out I look at my ring cameras to see when I can go clean and saw 3 cars and 1 motorcycle which lead me to check the cameras further back and saw that Katie and her friends had 7 people hanging out and staying in the house. Had I checked or “watched” the outdoor camera all the time I would have certainly asked them to leave when 6 people arrived at check in. I communicated with the husband and wife via the VRBO platform as well as text and got very little communication back until I asked them to leave then I got a ton of messages justifying their behavior. Per my house rules, if there is a party, I can ask the guests to leave which I did the next morning. If future guests don’t want to be honest and want to party through the night, then my home is in fact not for you. I don’t have a lot of rules but no smoking, no parties and taking out the trash are my big ones. I am sure Katie and her guests are kind people but they definitely took advantage of my home and that is unfortunate.

Super clean, cozy, lovely place to escape!

Owner couldn’t have been nicer and recommended great hiking trails and places to eat. They are filming “1883” in this sleepy town next week. Highly recommend if you need a getaway to a clean spot. We will definitely stay again. Thanks Angela!!

Absolutely the perfect place to stay in Palo Pinto county.

Great short stay in Strawn

Very close to the I-20, Strawn is an easily accessible place to stay if you'd prefer a private rental to one of the hotels in Eastland or even further away in Abilene. We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, and how clean and comfortable it was. Communicating with the host was no issue and she was very responsive. The check-in and check-out process could not have been easier which is always appreciated. We had a great time!

Countryside serenity within the city limits.
Publié le 2 sept. 2022 sur HomeAwayLocal thunderstorms brought much needed rain to the area. It also added another layer of ambience to this property. Natural sights, sounds, and scents. Flowers blooming,frogs singing and a clean ,crisp smell in the air. Absolute relaxation. 😁
