Lovely stay in Stromness at Harbor Cottage
Publié le 28 avr. 2024 sur HotelsWe had a lovely stay at Harbor Cottage. On the harbor just off the ferry exit. Communication was great & we accessed the cottage easily. Everything was clean & comfy. Even had Sky TV which can be rare. Kitchen had most everything you could need. Only issue was the slats on both beds kept falling.

Accessibility is an issue
Publié le 27 juin 2023 sur HotelsHarbor cottage is a cute place in an excellent location near the ferry terminal in Stromness. And with several restaurants nearby, and even a fishmarket within walking distance, you have a variety of meals to choose from the one downside we struggled with was accessibility. We were not able to take our luggage upstairs, because of the very narrow steep staircase. The furniture was placed in such a way. It was difficult to move throughout the downstairs. If you have any mobility problems, you might consider a different location.

Harbour cottage hideaway

as we were early very helpful.Quiet location which was a surprise as the cottage is next to the ferry port.We could only stay for three nights,which was a shame,would be very happy to stay longer.We did not cook in the house this time,but seemed very equipped to handle any food prep ,lovely butcher and fresh fish available locally.
