We booked a stay at this hotel based on reviews and photos but to be honest we did not even check in. When we arrived, we walked up the "hill" to the entrance and there was literally no sign of life. Doors and windows were shut - we did not see any people or hear noises. We did not even see a store of any kind. My apologies to the host, but when we arrived, we saw a sign "be back soon" and we decided this was not the place for us to stay. The accommodations looked inviting and comfortable and they may have been, but my family and I did not feel comfortable with the area.

Nl borgo abitano 135 persone, è molto piccolo.Se ha trovato quel cartello vuol dire che è arrivata prima dell'orario previsto del check in. Se avesse suonato, avrei aperto. chiudo per effettuare il rifacimento camere in tranquillità.

We know that it is a hotel in a very old town but we did not have the best of experiences. It says that it includes parking but that is not true. The car must be left in the street since the hotel cannot be accessed by car because the streets are almost pedestrian. You have to go up on foot with your bags and it is quite difficult because the streets are cobbled and very steep. Once at the hotel they gave us the room on the top so we had to go up 2 more floors by a quite uncomfortable staircase. And to top it off, the room is made in the loft and the beams and the ceiling are very low so you practically have to walk crouched to avoid breaking your head.

Sorry for what I read but when you booked you read that the structure dates back to 1524 and that it is located in the center of a medieval village.The photos represent the reality of both the structure and the village.To facilitate the arrival both from the parking lot and in the village there are two lifts.The stairs are also original and we are not allowed any kind of modern device to facilitate the climb.I am sorry that the room was not to your liking, they are all different from each other, if you had mentioned it to me maybe I could have changed your room

Publié le 2 août 2022 sur HotelsArrived in stroncone earlier than expected as we we hiking we had heavy backpacks so we called to the hotel to drop in our packs, we were with a very miserable woman who seemed completely put out by us arriving so early, we said we only wanted to leave our bags as they were so heavy and would return at the check in time. She let us leave our bags and we left the hotel to explore Stroncone, which took all of 20 mins. We decided that we eould not stay a full day and night in stroncone and instead move on to Reiti, which was our next destination. We were happy to forfeit the price of the hotel for the night, but I have to point out that when I booked this botel months ago the money was taken for this night straight away, I can only assume the hotel does this as I'm sure they have alot of no-show. Overall if yr thinking of comong to stroncone don't bother, bypass it as nothing to seem here.

Good evening Liz, I'm Paola, the owner as well as the person who welcomed you at 10 in the morning. The only thing I could do at that time in the morning was take your bags because at that time the rooms could not be ready for new guests.
Our hotel is located on the path of St. Francis and we often welcome pilgrims, who love the peace present in this small medieval village.
I would like to clarify that the payment for the room was taken, as usual and as per contract of the website, on the morning of your arrival and that the method you chosen did not provide for the cancellation of the room.
I hope you found peace along the way.

The best stay in Italy

The service was above and beyond and the hotel itself is located close to the center and it’s facilities are wonderful.
Highly recommended!
