Kentucky is beautiful

We actually saw and videoed a black bear on our first day driving just a couple of minutes to the cabin. We visited the Cumberland Falls, went on a train ride and visited the Louisville Slugger Factory, plus a lot of hiking through the mountains. Absolutely beautiful landscapes.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! With 4 pillows on each queen bed and 6 on the king bed, as well as extra pillows in the bedroom closets, I’m sorry that you felt there weren’t enough. We also provide an extra blanket with each bed as well as the bedding that is already on the beds. Towels are provided for each guest, plus extra. Hopefully, the washer and dryer was a great help with the towels, if needed.
Appreciate the great care you took with our cabin and thank you for leaving it spotless! We appreciate guests like you!! 😊

Solitude an Rest
Publié le 15 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWas a very nice place. Ranch/Cabin style with the amenities. Very secluded and quiet. There are two horses that are nice to visit. Was a very good location to go to different sites for hikes.

Great place to stay fir a peaceful relaxing trip.
Publié le 1 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was very nice, our only disappointment was when we were searching for a place on vrbo, we were searching for places in Cumberland and, this said it was. so we based all our adventures and sight seeing on that fact. It wasn't until after after we paid for it we got the address and found it was actually an hour south of Cumberland, witch add to our travels making most of the thing we wanted to do over a 2 hour drive. Vrbo would do better to give a distance from where you are actually searching so that one could plan there trip accordingly.

So sorry you had misinterpreted the location! We are 26 miles from Cumberland Falls State Park, 30 miles from Lake Cumberland Burnside Marina, 12 miles from the first boat ramp to Lake Cumberland, and 5 miles from the river for water access - fishing, canoeing, etc.
There is SO much to see and do within 10 miles of the cabin as well. Glad you enjoyed the accommodations and hopefully you were able to explore some of the closer attractions as well!

Getaway in the woods
Publié le 30 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was a nice cabin for the woods -- the porches were pretty dusty, but it was a very hot weekend so we didn't use them much; the living room was very small - -was fine for two people but would have been very crowded for more than two -- and the cabin was very clean inside, kitchen well stocked, etc.
My only real complaint was the king bed (we did not use the other beds) - it was very uncomfortable and I have a chronic back condition (and am used to a tempurpedic mattress) so we only stayed one of the 3 nights due to not sleeping well and waking up stiff. I would suggest a better mattress.
Overall, we would recommend this cabin.

So glad that “overall” you enjoyed the cabin! Sorry to hear about your chronic back condition… I’m sure that makes it difficult to sleep on mattresses, other than your own. After checking back on reviews from both VRBO and AIRBNB, there were 8 guests that specifically commented on how comfortable the beds were. We have never had a complaint, other than yours.
