Feet pounding on floor above vibrating the ceiling.

Very small twin room. Would not stay more than one night.

This was the 4th time staying at the George and for the last 2 times ive a room with a very small tv.
So s.all on this stay that watching the football i had difficulty seeing who was who and were the ball was.
Otherwise the staff are friendly the meal i had very good.
Next time unless i have a room with the bigger tv screen i wont be able to book.

Filthy and lots of bugs
Publié le 20 janv. 2024 sur HotelsVery dirty and old. Dirty floors, cobwebs, bugs everywhere really unpleasant. Such a shame as the building is such a lovely old building it could be great. Even if the decor is old they could clean it properly, but they have left it to be really dirty and grimy. Also after breakfast, which was not good, coffee like water and took ages to be served. We then went to the car to see the chef outside smoking and in filthy clothes! Really put us off, made my husband feel ill. This was at 11am so he hadn’t been cooking all day to get so filthy! Would not recommend.

The room needs updating, tv not working, room needs a good clean as it’s got serval spiders 🕷️, the pub is a very nice old place, food is nice. Payed £110 for a night with breakfast, overall not bad but there are a few other places around here I would rather try.

Lovely large loft room, comfy bed, in need of a little spruce up. En-suite ok with good lighting for make up. Not sure about sign over wash basin!! Staff excellent. Lovely atmosphere. Would book again.
