Wonderful, oceanfront, two bedroom, two bath, bungalow home is just ten feet from the open water views. Located on the open water, with a 52' concrete dock/seawall complete with dock posts, swim ladder. Beautiful views of the open water from the living room, dining room and kitchen.- perfect location for your boat or you can rent one nearby.This is a fully furnished 2 bedroom/2 bath stilt home with parking and covered living space below. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen bed, gorgeous ocean views, second-floor deck, direct access to the Atlantic and the Gulf. Central A/C and heat, overhead ceiling fans, full kitchen with microwave, full sized washer/dryer, 42' high def flat screened TV and another TV in the bedroom, Wi-Fi, cable,ceiling fans, linens, dishes, glasses and wine glasses etc Recreation center with darts, and ping pong. Post Office and a Library 24 Hour Gated Security. We have not overlooked any utensil in the kitchen and of course a sturdy blender for tropical drinks! Gated private community with 80 foot heated shared pool, large kiddie pool, salt water swimming area, marina, convenience market, small post office, 2 lighted tennis court, basketball, bocce courts, ping pong, and two large boat ramps, marina, ship's store. Our very cute little low key fishing community is friendly and has little houses as well as some campers.
Located just 15 minutes to either Key West to the west or Bahia Honda State Park (voted one of the top 10 beaches in the U.S.) to the east, a water-lover's dream. This 69 acre resort was created to put the ocean at your back door. Amenities: Central Air Conditioning/Heating, 42'HD TV,additional TV in the master, Full Kitchen, Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Ice Maker, Cooking utensils, Linens provided, Washer, Dryer and Gas Grill (BBQ) Community - 80 foot heated pool, 2 lighted tennis courts, bocce courts, basketball, ping pong, full service marina, boat ramps, salt water swimming area, small playground. Activities: Swimming, boating, skiing, sailing, biking, fishing, tennis, bocci, ping pong, basketball, scuba diving, parasailing, airplane rides, golf in Key West, snorkeling Looe Key. Area: We are located on accessible deep water boating channels to both the beautiful back country (bayside)as well as a quick ten-minute run to the open Atlantic (oceanside) and it's Coral Reefs. Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary is a nearby must for snorkeling and diving in the crystal blue Atlantic. On the gulf side, Cudjoe Key offers the Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuge...A kayak or small boaters paradise.
For Divers and Fisherman: The retired 523 foot WWII U.S. missile tracking ship Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg that once tracked space launches off Cape Canaveral, and also monitored Soviet missile launches during the Cold War, has been intentionally sunkoff Key West in late May to become an artificial reef in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Trip Interruption/Cancellation Insurance is paramount to protect yourselves from all manner of life's situations including hurricanes, death, loss of job, illness etc etc. Make absolutely sure you take it out. Venture Out charges a fee of $125.00 due at check in, payable to Venture Out, this is for use of the amenities. Parking for one car, one golf cart and one motorcycle, additional vehicles will park in overflow parking. If you are bringing a boat, we have trailer storage for you just down the street. Terrific oceanfront property
Lovely two bedroom waterfront property is reminiscent of a beachfront cottage in New England or the Outer Banks. If you're expecting a Marriott timeshare on an expensive island in the Caribbean as some of the previous reviews seemed to be then then perhaps look elsewhere. But if you want a comfortable winter escape in an absolutely perfect location both within the resort as well as where it is in the Keys then this is for you. We enjoyed the beautiful view from both the upper deck as well as the shielded downstairs patio (beautiful sunrise), grilled several times and swam every day in the community pool and the ocean. We'll be back.

Place was not clean
Location was on the water it was in a trailer park. The house was not clean I personally swept the floor twice. Floor needed to be wet mopped ceiling fans worked and were quiet. but blades were dirty Propane grill was filthyNothing like the pics. They said we could only park one vehicle in the driveway. This driveway could have held three cars. We were supposed to park the additional car in the overflow lot. That was full. So we had to park in an off site area. Kind of silly to just not use the driveway that was available. Florida HOA. Have had trouble with Venture One in the past.

Gorgeous location
We stayed 3 nights. The community is very nice. The views at this specific location are to die for!!!!! It unit itself is perfect for a short term stay-pans need a good cleaning or updating. Could also use touch up paint/floors are in need of attention. There’s a spot in bedroom #2 doorway that is so soft-soon someone is going to push through. Communication with host was awesome-she even allowed an extra hour for check out-which was greatly appreciated. I could not stay here -long term-however for a short stay it was perfect for us. It DOES need some attention

Needs some TLC
The view was amazing but the inside needs some work. Soft floors in one of the bedrooms and bathroom. There was one spot that we had to step over to avoid going right thru the floor. Outside furniture was in need of repair, chairs with broken slats. Most of the window blinds were either broken or didn't open at all. Compared to other properties in Venture Out (we had family staying in two other rentals two roads over) this was overpriced compared to the others we saw.

Great location
The location and view made up for everything else . It’s in a community called venture out and they make you pay 125 fee upon arrival for amenities . We did not utilize amenities ..Our place was what was expected as I had read other reviews about the floors being dirty etc Yes floors were very dirty , we brought stuff to wipe down all the countertops in case . We go to the keys a lot and some of the things people mentioned about the place was fine for us ( broken chairs, ripped towels) It would have been great if there were kayaks or bikes to use on premises . We noticed the rental next door had those to use. It’s def a plus when you go stay there . Jennifer was always very responsive with me , I did appreciate that . Overall not sure we would rent here again

Great, but...
Second time staying at this Venture Out resort, forst time at this specific property. Location is a dream and waterfront is a blessing. Quick drive to KW and a bunch of the state parks and beaches. With that being said, we never felt truly at home.or welcome here. Constabt signange of what is forbidden and how much the penalty / fee will be. Difficult to get a hold of the host - the propane tank for the grill was empty upon arrival, but without a response from host we couldn't grill, unfortunately. Overall, I would recommend, but comms could use an upgrade.

PLEASE Read RECENT reviews. We saw 9. HUGE mistake. It’s a zero other than the view.
Renter be ware. This house is gravely misrepresented.  It is NOT safe to stay here. The property manager (Jennifer) and the owner (Susan) don’t care about fixing the problems at this house.  It has wet rotting wood floors (we have photos and videos that we shared with both Jennifer, Susan and VRBO). There is also a mold problem. Jennifer will tell you that it was simply that the AC line was clogged during our trip, but that is not the truth. They are just covering it up and continuing to rent this property so they don’t have to fix the problems. IT SMELLS AWEFUL. It’s not just a musty smell — it smells so badly that we couldn’t sleep there.  It’s a lazy rental - they place is on the water so you get sucked into that — and I will give the property that it has a nice view, however beyond the awful smell, the house isn’t clean, dogs at a shelter have better towels than the ones they provided, if you have 4 people, only two of you could enjoy a glass of wine. It’s a joke. They offered us another place to sleep (in a motor home on the canal) - not even close to what we rented. Our vacation was short, and we made the mistake of not going somewhere else right away. Never again. They wouldn’t refund us a DIME for this horrible vacation. I rarely leave reviews and most of the time I won’t leave one unless I can give it 5 stars, but this was so awful, I had to share my experience to let anyone know that this is a joke of a rental and you will be sorry you stayed here, unless you can’t

Disappointing stay...
First, the positives…location and view. My husband and I and another couple chose this waterfront rental property expecting a relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory due to the state of the property and the lack of basic amenities. Firstly, the cleanliness and smell of the inside of the property was a major issue. It was extremely dirty with dust, grime, and bugs throughout the house. This was extremely disappointing and not what one would expect from a vacation rental. We spent the first couple of hours of our vacation cleaning all surfaces so we would feel comfortable touching them and storing our items on them. If you prefer to be barefoot, be warned: the floors are extremely dirty and the bottom of your feet will be black. Cleanliness is certainly subjective, but how there are recent reviews for this property stating that it was clean is beyond me. There was not one single clean area in this home. Sure, there were areas that were not as disgusting as others, but nothing was clean. In addition to the cleanliness issues, the property lacked several basic amenities. There were very few bathroom and kitchen towels provided making it inconvenient for a longer stay. The towels that were provided were very old with bleach spots and holes. There was also a noticeable lack of hangers and clothing storage options, forcing us to live out of our suitcases which was far from ideal.

Location was great along with the views. Friendly residents and guests throughout the complex. House needs some maintenance and cleaning air vents, decor, and furniture extremely dusty. Smelled musty and mildew when you walked in. A/C stopped working the 2nd night in but was fixed the next day.

Cudjoe Key Cottage
The view was wonderful. Great place to see sunrise every morning. This was a girls trip. If you are just there for fishing, this place is perfect. The refrigerator and freezer smelled of fish. Even after 3 nights, the smell was strong. I recommend bringing some arm and hammer baking soda for both fridge and freezer. The place is pretty close to Key West, so location is great. The neighbors were cleaning their fish right off the dock, so there were many seagulls. With seagulls, comes poop. They pooped on the very nice Adirondack chairs on our deck. No bucket found to do any cleaning, so bring something to clean off the chairs so you can enjoy the wonderful view. Check the outside trash can and recycling bin when you arrive. There are strict rules about not leaving any trash behind. Trash must be transported in your vehicle to a dumpster on the property. All in all, I would stay here again. Jennifer my host was wonderful. The view was awesome and a short trip to Key West.

The view and deck were beautiful. However, the unit was very dirty. The air vents were covered with dust and mold. A few bugs were crawling around, and they looked like small roaches. The shower doors were not very clean. The towels are very old, good thing I brought my own washcloths. The unit needs upgrades. Bikes would have been nice ride within the park. Very dissatisfied with the overall unit and rent again.

Wonderful location and community. Enjoyed the ping pong, tennis & pickleball! Bikes & kayaks would have been great. The house was comfortable and cute. Had to call host for a repair and was taken care of within an hour. Cleanliness could have been better - dusty and cabinets/drawers could use attention. Very happy with our stay.
