Dated and run down

Let me start by saying the location is great and the amenities of the pickleball courts and pool were great. Easy to access and friendly staff at the Elkhorn Lodge. However, the actual condo was less than subpar. The furniture was threadbare and dated. In fact, the couch and chair in the living room had holes and pet hair. The bedding was old and worn as well. This was the lowest quality rental I have ever stayed at. We actually found sheets in the closet and covered the furniture so we felt comfortable sitting down. It seems like the reply comments are nothing more than empty words. Trust the comments…not worth it.

Awful mattress. Upstaris shower/bath non functioing. Hot water heater failing- couldnt take a hot bath as hot water ran out very fast. Property management not very responosve. big run around via texting with vacasa- with "we will see what we can do"- with no resolution- my onlky vacation and honestly it was a nightmare

Dog friendly but outdated

Fees charged were outrageous. No wonder they can’t afford to update. Mold in the bathroom ceiling. Stains on the carpet floors. Needs painted. Super outdated furniture and bad decor. Shower head hits you in the chest. Great location and dog friendly comes at a high cost….we paid the cost, didn’t get what we deserved. Left a day earlier so we didn’t have to stay another night there. A travel lodge may have been comparable. Should have been better for what we paid. Not as advertised.

Falling apart

Bathroom fan doesn't work, Bathroom vanity light needed light bulbs, glass light broken. Shower handle falls off. Washer machine had sign that hadn't workerd since July 2023, glass sliding door blinds not working missing panels as well. Bedrooms door knobs falling off. Fireplace would not turn on. Called customer service never saw maintenance people or heard from. Would like some reimbursement.

The condo's carpet is dirty and there's a mouse in the house. The view is of a small pond and the neighbors. Nice big patio deck. It was not communicated to us before we arrived that both neighborhood pool/hot tub complexes were closed. Very disappointing.

Tired, Dirty Condo

I had very modest expectations. They were not met. Carpet and furniture were dirty and stained. Kitchen was poorly equipped. Shower curtain liners (there were no actual shower curtains) were moldy. Door knob came off; hot water kettle leaked badly; pan was put away dirty; washing machine had been broken for a month with no action. I was very disappointed in Vrbo and Vacasa. It is apparent to me at least that there are no minimum standards your properties must meet and maintain.

not worth the price

Many issues,no heat in bedroom, ice maker not work, not enough spoons, dated and worn furniture, no pancake flipper, window shade broken, just not a high class unit, best thing was the layour

Not a good place to stay very old and dirty

When we arrived it was snowing and cold and the condo was colder than outside no heaters were on so we had to turn them all on hi and it took almost 2 hrs to get the place warm. All the heaters had a thick dusting on them and smelled like it was burning something. There was dog hair or cat hair left on the velvet chairs from previous renter. Blinds were broken, table leg was broken and seemed like it was placed back together but not fixed. There was hair in both showers in the drain which clogged it until I had to remove the hair. Dishes were put back dirty had to wash them before using. Just seemed like it didn’t get cleaned well at all which is frustrating when you pay more for the cleaning fee than the night rental. Smelled musty and noticed in the downstairs bathroom there was black mold growing on the ceiling. My family came home very sick after staying here from the mold and dirty ness. I am waiting on a response from the owner after 2 weeks about the mold and how it caused my family health problems. I am still sick with chest pains and headaches and no response from them. I would not recommend staying here unless you want to get mold or dust poison.
