Plenty of amenities and owners were quick to get us anything we needed help with or had questions about. With Franky and Louie's so close, you can't go wrong with this property!!

Hated ridiculous signs/rules - Negative Vibe
Publié le 17 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe absolutely hated the numerous notes with rules in each room especially the sign about vomiting stuck above the kitchen sink. So gross!!! For that nightly rate more often than not the caliber of guests won't be vomitting in kitchen sink or disrespecting the property so subjecting us to read that every time we were using the kitchen is beyond gross. Also the note about the bedding being for decorative purposes only...just gave us a negative vibe. There were rules about how to use the towels...seriously?!? Another about using old rugs under the sink instead of decorative dish clothes. The deodarizers in every room with different scents also made the place smell like a morgue and gave us headaches. We had to find them all and kept them in the storage closet and aired out the place in order to stay. Please consider putting ice trays in the freezer as it doesn't make ice.
It is a nice location and the options for a closed porch and open one is a great feature. Bcoz of the negative vibe we spent most of our time at the place our friends had rented that was 2 minutes away that had a more positive vibe.

We are sorry that you did not have a good experience with your stay at our cottage in mid July. We wish you would have reached out to us immediately upon your arrival by calling, or emailing and we would have gladly refunded your stay 100%. We have rented our cottage 8 years, on average 30 bookings per season with multiple repeated guests. As you can see on our review page we have never received a low review. Our average is 4.9 stars.
I have to agree our notes may seem excessive but we have had issues in the past and that is why they are there.
There is only 1 plug in air freshener in the cottage so we're not sure why you said they were in all ( 4) rooms.
As far as the bedding / comforter sign it was simple-- please don't use as a blanket or sheet as they are costly to dry clean. We want our cottage to be cozy and clean for all our guests and provide extra blankets rather than the comforter. Your comment on old " rugs" I think you are referring to the old rags under the sink. The note states please use old rags under the sink if you need towels to work on your boat, fish cleaning, ect. As we have had people use our sink/bath towels before. The note is to let folks know they are provided and where they are located. Once again, had you contacted us immediately and not left a terrible review 2 months later we would have either tried to resolve your concerns or refunded you 100%.

Quiet home in a great location
