My husband and I have recently had a 5 night stay whilst attending the Qld garden expo. The hotel is in an excellent location and the grounds are clean and well maintained. The room was nice and spacious and has a nice feel to it. The mattress is in need of replacing as you can feel the springs. The bathroom is also in need of renovating - it’s old with swollen doors and cabinets and mould on some of the grouting and ceiling. The room was lovely and clean upon arrival however that’s where its ends. There is no daily housekeeping other than emptying the bins. During our stay the bed was not made once or sheets changed. The floors weren’t vacuumed or mopped and they only change your towels every second day. There is also a passive aggressive sign above the sink stating that dishes don’t wash themselves. I raised this with staff I was told this was the new policy since COVID. This is not communicated on the website or within the room . I have stayed at plenty of places since COVID and have never encountered this sort of policy anywhere else noI’m reluctant to stay again which is disappointing given its great location etc.

Hello Angela,Firstly, thank you for your feed back and I am personally disappointed in your experience with us. We are a busy motel and with the Queensland garden expo on for the 4 days over the weekend you stayed with us the staff were kept on there toes so to speak ( extremely busy ) and doing there upmost to ensure our guests were comfortable during their stay.At the Nambour Heights Motel, we pride ourselves on having the motel looking like a great place to visit, so you can relax, unwind and have a good night sleep. Our staff are here to ensure all the essentials are taken care of with the likes of replacing towels, coffee, tea, milk and emptying rubbish bins. The covid policy refers to the staff not making a bed or cleaning a floor if there are personal belongings sitting there which is purely out of respect.We have a laminated sign in the kitchen area which reads “dishes will not do themselves”, we are thankful most of our customers are accommodating doing their own dishes, which gives our staff that little bit of extra time to take care of those maintenance issues needing to be done.Once again thank you for your feedback and we would love to have visit us in the near future.Kind Regards

Enjoyed the central location and easy access. The bed wasn't really comfortable though.
