The hotel check in took foroev no one was there to help we waited abo 10 minutes. We got to our room there was no toilet paper no-one would answer the phone at guest service. The bathroom was dirty and things were falling apart. I have stayed here before and it wasn't like this. Not sure what happened. I would like to kindly ask for a refund of all or some of what the room cost as it was very sub par.

First stay at this location. In the area for the Bentleyville opening night. Property is a resort type vibe on an actual island in Wisconsin. Chose this location as it’s very, very short drive to Duluth and it seemed like it’d be a quiet place for the weekend. Plus this place is equipped with just about everything you need for some time away, including restaurant, bar, pool, etc, However, if you travel with anyone who startles easily I would recommend you stay somewhere else. Throughout the night I awoke to kids crying and adults fighting on one side of the room and a party and music on the other side. When I got up to go get coffee at six the occupants in both adjoining rooms were still audible. All in all I’m sure this is a wonderful location because staff is genuinely happy to be here. I’ll visit again but I’ll definitely direct book to select my room.

My Expedia reservation shows 3 rooms but hotel only showed 2rooms. Restaurant was out of several menu items, including pop. Food was served cold. Drinks were forgotten. Rooms are very old & outdated.

Relaxing atmosphere
Staff is very nice. Like this hotel off the beaten path of business from the Duluth area. Quiet relaxing atmosphere. Love the Christmas decorations in the lobby and the coffee and tea options in the lobby. A quick drive across the bridge and you are in Duluth. Restaurants nearby in Superior. Walking paths right from the hotel.

The location is interesting and some of the staff were great. The room had no clock/alarm. I asked at the desk for a wake-up call. No call. When I picked up the phone, it was broken. I had had a back injury a few days before my trip. I was dependent on that phone in case the condition got worse.. Property was not well-cared for. 'Extremely loud halls!

Pretty much got what we paid for given our belated reservation on a holiday weekend. The room was VERY dated and lots of spots had dust and dirt. Didn't seem like the rooms had been deep cleaned in a very long time. Happy to see the pool is open 8am - 11pm. Perfect for anyone showing up later in the evening for check-in and wanting to go for a dip. I'd suggest replacing the tile in the pre- and post-swim shower area for textured though. Very slippery in there. We didn't get to check out much of the rest of the "resort" though. Might stay again in the future if push comes to shove again. Overall, 2.5 out of 5 as far as comfort goes, but 4 out 5 as far as meeting expectations.

Satisfied and I recommend
Went for a girls weekend to visit Bentlyville in Duluth. Everything was great. Comfy room and beds with a view of the water. Duluth is right across the bridge, only a 10-15 minute drive. The few minute extra drive is well worth it to save $$$ on the room in comparison to a similar room in Duluth. Their bar also has reasonable prices.

Door didn't lock without being lifted up, toilet did not flush well, very noisy throughout the day and night in the hallways and coming from other rooms. Our door card randomly stopped working. Hot tub jets did not work and there was a lot of kids running in the pool area throwing things and going to the second floor to throw things down into the pool. For the price i would not stay again.

We had a room right outside of the pool, it was quiet and comfortable. I was a bit surprised there was no continential breakfast though. I am looking to book here again in January if the price drops a little.
