Posted Aug. 23, 2024 on HotelsThis hotel gouges you because it’s the only place within walking distance to the airport, which is nowhere near civilization. Stuffy rooms, uncomfortable beds with one pillow. Free breakfast, devoid of any creativity or local flavor. Only reason to stay here is to endure a layover, or catch and early flight. Poor.

This is an excellent property near the airport with a friendly and accommodating staff. This is far from Reykjavik, it's purpose is as a stopover for flights. It does that very well.

The property was clean and the staff was relatively friendly with the exception of a few who weren’t necessary unfriendly but cold when I checked in. Food at the restaurant for dinner was limited but good, but the breakfast was crammed with guests and options were picked over. Front desk were able to call a taxi for me to go into town which was nice since I was unable to call any of the available taxis using my non Icelandic phone number. Overall a good hotel but wish my initial interaction with staff would’ve been better.

Nothing special but got us through the night and had breakfast. 3-5 minute walk from airport, no shuttle if walking is an issue due to disability or too much luggage. Wheel chair and carts available, self serve.

Location to airport was a key factor in booking this hotel. Just came off a cruise ship & needed to be very close to the airport for an early morning departure with many travel bags.

Nice facility - walking distance to the airport terminal. Friendly staff.
