The property itself was very nice however I believe that the room we were in could have been cleaned out of webs, outdoor chairs, anything and the tub. I do understand that most of those things are exposed to the outside elements and they will get dirty quick. However it looked as if those items hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also, I believe each room should be provided with insect repellent so we don’t have to bother the staff when giant insects come roaming. Last thing, being that the retreat is in the middle of nowhere around nothing, I believe there should be more of a variety when it comes to the food.

Words don’t do justice to this resort! It’s absolutely magical. The staff, the rooms, the spa, the ambience, the food, everything was perfect! My husband and I can’t wait to go back!

The property is gorgeous and an experience, however the mosquitos are aggressive and everywhere! My fiancée and I got at least 20 bites and the rooms do not have mosquito nets. Note that the bathroom is partially outside and welcomes many spiders and mosquitos. The staff is very friendly, but we felt itchy and uncomfortable. The food is okay for the price.

We truly understand your concern, but a gentle reminder, as our resort's concept is "stay within nature", our location is surrounded by ricefield, rivers, and tropical forests. Consequently, our resort serves as a natural environment for all the surrounding living organisms which does include various insects. In dealing with it, we use organic insect repellants as opposed to chemical ones; it does not kill the insects but merely redirect them away. However, we will keep in mind to give extra attention to the rooms for next time, ensuring the comfort of our guests. We look forward to welcoming you back again in the future!Best RegardsUlaman Team

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. From the hotel staff, foods, view, everything was great. Will come back here soon.
