Publié le 26 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayBooked this place to celebrate my wife’s 40th, her only request was that she wanted a hot tub. Original listing advertised a hot tub however upon arrival the hot tub was frozen and not operating. Reached out to the property manager who advised that it wasn’t part of the listed amenities (there are signs in the house for hot tub use)…I went back to the listing and it had been updated removing the hot tub language from the listing. We should have been informed that the hot tub was not working so we could have made other arrangements. I asked for a discounted rate and was given an insignificant discount. The property manager Vacasa was not helpful at all and the owner should consider making a change.

We had to purchase toilet paper and paper towels as not enough was provided. We also purchased a shovel. We did leave it at the house so the next guests are able to shovel stairs etc for safety reasons.
The house was not clean, please see attached photos.
I understand that every owner has a right to keep their house how they like, however the listing information and photos need to match. We booked a house with a hot tub and no hot tub. There is completely different furniture in the house, not nearly as nice as the furniture posted.
My intention is not to hurt the owners business rental by leaving a negative review, I think it's important to offer the product you tell guests they are purchasing.

Nice Cabin

Quiet cabin in truckee

Cabin felt like home

Super fast Wi-Fi was a plus for downloading Xbox games and two showers helped. Hot tub was perfect after riding all day and kitchen had everything we needed. Even a bbq in the garage! So this place really was perfect and it felt like a second home.

Unhealthy Level of Cleanliness
Publié le 16 déc. 2021 sur HomeAwayI’m not sure why I was charged an outrageous cleaning fee, as it doesn’t seem it’s being used. There was pink mold all over the shower curtain downstairs, which forced us to use the tiny shower upstairs. It was unfortunate and annoying, but at least there was only two of us so it worked ok. However, if we had used the max capacity of the cabin, this would have caused a considerable problem. The most disturbing part was that there was a huge white-ish, sticky stain on the inside of the living room coffee table/dining table when you folded it out to the larger size. I’m not sure what the mess was, but I sincerely hope it wasn’t what it looked like, if you catch my drift. Lastly, I had contacted an employee about a refund for the hot tub fee as it was mentioned that the hot tub was not available for use. I was told it would be looked into, but I never heard back. I personally don’t think I should pay an additional fee for a specific amenity if that amenity is unavailable. I don’t think this canon is worth the money you pay to use it.

We Had a Great Time
Publié le 25 févr. 2021 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was exactly as described. Very clean, very comfortable, had everything we needed (other than a coffee pot but Starbucks is only about 10-15 minutes away). The kids had a great time playing out back in the snow, overall we had a great time.
