I love this hotel and will continue to come back, but the rooms are very hot, even hotter than the temperature outside. This hotel desperately needs to upgrade with A/C in each room.

Poor management

On 11 day self drive Tsavo West .We went to sister property Salt Lick. After consulting management on phone they wanted us to pay parking for each room when using Hotels. Com. One car and $60 parking because we had two rooms. No cars in lot. We refused and went to sister property. We booked enroute and on arrival they asked my name and made a phone call to management. Front desk staff nervous and quiet. Could feel the tension. They gave us the WORST rooms possible. Only two rooms rented in hotel of 96(?) and gave horrible rooms over restaurant with noise of generators and poor view. We carried our own bags up and down…unheard of from our experience. Management PUNISHED us for refusing the initial property. Would NEVER CONSIDER this property again. Balcony was a small cage, beds hard as a rock. Room clean and foyer/ restaurant area nice. Food ok. Beware of management

Be sure that we shall work positively to improve on the areas that we did not meet your expectations. Just for clarifications, all our guests pay an additional fee of US$ 30 per person being sanctuary entry fees/or park fees to access Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary for stays at Salt Lick Safari Lodge. This is not a car park fee which was clearly explained to you and the same information is applicable and well-outlined on the extranet booking’s terms. It is also important to note, that your stay was at Taita Hills Safari Resort & Spa where we do not charge for the sanctuary/park entry fees. The resort does not charge car park fees which are offered freely. We are also keen to ensure we improve on guest services and welcome experience. We will be sure to share your very kind remarks with the whole team at the Resort and to close the very important issues you have raised. We have no doubt that our team will be delighted to hear from you and improve to ensure these gaps are closed for the better experience of all our guests.
