Poorly equipped
Publié le 26 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayHouse was poorly insulated. Towel holder screwed into plasterboard-loose. No salt, kitchen utensils few and far between. Needs a woman’s touch badly.

The kitchen is fully stocked with 2 drawers full of brand new cooking utensils - there is salt pepper oil and more in the pull out cupboard.. we supply more than any holiday home I have ever stayed in...

It was ok

Disappointingly we hadn’t realised this house did not have a washing machine - we never thought to check given the price we were paying and the fact we were booking a 3 bedroom home. With a family of 2 boys we need a washing machine so had to pay $4 to use the local motels facilities each time we needed to do a load of washing. This meant we needed to drive into town (not what we had wanted to do) and then wait 40 mins for the machines and then cart everything back and try and dry the clothes. This was such a shame and really detracted from the stay.
The house also needed a good clean, the floor was quite dirty and most of the surfaces and the couch were coated in dog hair. We have left with all our clothes covered in dog hair and my son who is allergic also struggled with so much animal hair (there was no vacuum cleaner available to try and clean the floors).

As per our listing - it says we do not have a washing machine as the house is spring fed and not connected to the mains water

Christmas Magic

Perhaps more attention to detail with cleanliness of the property, plus some maintenance required.
Outdoor sun umbrella and laundry facilities (1 tea towel for a 5 day stay....) would be just perfect! Many Thanks, look forward to returning!

A perfect family get away
