If you want to eat something you have to drive half an hour to Takayama or buy their dinner expensively. They charge the maximum price for the spa, 500 yen per person per day even if it is not used. Other hotels do not charge this "tax" if you do not use it.

Nice, quaint hotel in a scenic location
Great trip, quaint and cosy hotel in a scenic location with cute furry friends. Be sure to reserve dinner in advance if you'd like to dine at the hotel restaurant, as they do not accommodate walk-in guests. Front desk was extremely helpful with recommendations for other food options in the area.

ホテルは清潔でサービスも良く、また犬といっしょに食事が出来る上にペット用の食事も充実していて、よくあるペットと宿泊は出来るが制約がとても多い宿と比べ、非常に快適なホテルでした。

露天風呂等の風呂棟があるので、部屋風呂に入る人はあまりいないのかもしれないが、中には部屋風呂を使わざるをえない人もいます。 部屋風呂（ユニットですが）垢がついていて、とても汚かった。 一つ一つの丁寧さが全体に繋がると思うから、他にも手を抜いている所があるのかと思われても仕方ないとおもいます。スタッフの方の対応はよかったので、勿体ないなぁと感じました。
