Lovely Stay at Villa Concha
Posted Nov. 14, 2024 on HomeAwayThe house was very spacious, clean, and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The pool and cabana area was our favorite hangout spot. We opted in for additional services like a private chef and daily maid which were well worth the cost and the stsff eas friendly and very accommodating. The location is perfect as it is quaint and just a short gilf cart drive or walk to most places. My only complaint is that the curtsins could be better and the mattresses were not the most comfortable.

We are very sorry that this guest did not enjoy their stay. If they had shared their concerns with us, we would have been happy to address them or make our best effort to make it right. We want our guests to enjoy their stay and always take care of our guests. Unfortunately, they did not provide any feedback or raise significant concerns to us during their stay or after they checked out. The only comment they provided us directly during their stay was that the house was lovely. There was bad weather during this time as a tropical storm was in the area but that was out of our control. Our staff always tries very hard to make sure that guests enjoy their stay at the home, so we are very disappointed by this review.

Wonderful
Posted Oct. 15, 2024 on HomeAwayVilla concha was everything the listing says! Our family of 16 all found the accommodations perfect! Prashant was amazing scheduling all our extras…. Transportation… golf carts… a chef… and three tours which all turned out perfectly. Such a wonderful trip making lasting memories.

House is Great, Owner is not
Posted Oct. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayLet me start by saying the house was nice and the property manager Dauly was fantastic. The location is great, however you will need golf carts or cars to get around as most places are not walking distance.
The owners of the home are horrific. Prashant, who calls himself a part owner, was untruthful with his promises and completely ripped us off. Do not book any excursions through him. Once we got to Costa Rica we realized he was up charging us triple of what the excursions actually cost. We sent a large sum of money to him via Venmo for our zip lining excursion and when we got to the place they claimed they had not yet been paid so we had to pay out of pocket. He did refund our money but the whole thing was very shady. Prashant doesn’t even live in CR. We never met him and his communication was atrocious.
The other owner of the home, Sharon, completely ghosted us after we got home from our stay and needed her to submit our insurance damage claim for a broken lamp. She charged our card on file for $400 to replace the lamp and when I asked her to provide receipts and send the claim form I had filled out she never responded back. I sent 3 messages days apart and I could see that she read them but never responded. The deadline lapsed on the claim submission and we lost the $400 that should have been covered by our property damage insurance.
Save yourself the headache and find another home to stay at in Tamarindo rather than dealing with these dishonest people.

I am very sorry that this guest was unhappy with their stay. In terms of the broken lamp, I submitted the paperwork through vrbo as it is supposed to be handled through the site with receipts and all required information. Vrbo charged their card, I never had their card information. I am not sure how that makes me dishonest. They admitted their kids broke the lamps. Later the guest requested I send her the information I had already sent her through vrbo directly as she purchased separate insurance. I sent it again to her. Then she requested I fill out additional forms with information she had already received. I was not able to do that immediately as my residences in the us were impacted by hurricane Helene and Milton. I have a home in east tn and Florida. I completed all the paperwork and sent it to her after dealing with those incidents and apologized for the delay in getting that to her. I am sure the insurance would have accepted it a few days late given that situation but the fact is I sent her all info multiple times. I am definitely not dishonest and followed proper procedure through vrbo. In terms of the services this guest booked everything last minute and as a result prices were higher due to limited availability. They were more than welcome to arrange everything on their own. They made multiple changes to their plans which we did accommodate as much as possible. Additional damage was caused from the large number of children which I did not even charge for.

Mimi’s 80th
Posted Aug. 4, 2024 on HomeAwayWe had a great stay, communication with property manager, Dually, was great, super friendly and helpful. House location and amenities were great, house is perfect for large group. We had 21 adults and a 10 year old. House is older and well used so it had some slight issues but nothing that diminished our trip or great memories that were made. Would book again for large group.

A wonderful trip and experience at Villa Concha

I never saw a better equipped kitchen. This kitchen was for serious cook.
Our house manager Dawley was amazing.
And I must say that he helped to make our vacation a wonderful one. The littlest issue that we have he took care of it right away. We never had to wait at all. Thank you for being such a great host!

Villa Concha
Posted Mar. 16, 2024 on HomeAwayWe went down to Tamarindo for my husband's birthday with a group of 9 couples - 18 people total.
Each room was spacious, comfortable and had it own private bath and airconditioning.
A stunning view from the back terrace and a fabulous lounge area with salt water pool and covered seating.
The concierge, cooks, bartender and driver services were great and very accommodating.

A Wonderful Place!
Posted Mar. 6, 2024 on HomeAwayWe stayed for three nights. We had 11 adults and one 6 week old baby. The owner helped us with activities, massages, and meals prepared at the house. At first glance the cost of the meals seemed expensive. But we went out for dinner one night and that charge was 1 1/2 times more than we paid for a wonderful meal at the home. I would recommend this place to anyone with a large group. As I said we had 11 adults and there were still rooms left unused. The view of the ocean is spectacular and a very short stroll to the beach. Everyone enjoyed going in the ocean and walking the beach.

Amazing stay
Posted Jan. 13, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was an amazing experience. Everything went smoothly and the location was PERFECT for not being too in the mix with the tourism but still being close to town! Everything was amazing!
