Si vous ouvrez les rideaux, il fait très clair dans toute la maison. il y a une grande terrasse qui s'étend de la chambre principale arrière jusqu'à l'avant, bordée de hamacs et d'un patio supplémentaire à l'avant de la maison. La maison est décrite très précisément avec des photos. Ils étaient très heureux de toutes les antiquités et des différentes œuvres d'art et ont demandé une visite guidée de chacun d'eux. C'étaient des gens adorables mais très pressés d'aller d'un endroit à l'autre. Je pense que c'était difficile pour eux d'être loin de la ville et de simplement se détendre. Ce fut néanmoins un grand plaisir de les rencontrer.

I loved it
Publié le 19 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis place was great. Though Avellanas Beach was a short walk from the property, it felt secluded and remote. I could hear howler monkeys in the trees, which was cool. The house was gated and felt safe and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. I would gladly visit again.

Great Costa Rican Getaway
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayStayed here with a group of 5. There was plenty of room for us in the house, it didn't feel cramped. The property was nice and secure and the hammocks were great to lounge in. We all felt like the walk to the beach was fine and would consider it the definition of walking distance. Would highly recommend this place for a group looking for an authentic Tico experience.

Beautiful Location Lovely House
Publié le 15 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe hammocks were so relaxing with all the nature sounds and birds singing. There were even howler monkeys and scarlett macaws in the yard. The walk to the beach was absolutely gorgeous and the beach was even more stunning. This was all around such a great stay. Can’t say enough nice things.

Not what expected

Very heavy doors including main gate

Two adults needed to slide gate.
Beach not what you call walking distance.
Water pressure was so low could barely wash or brush teeth much less shower.
The place was so depressing, we left after two nights.
We are requesting some refund.

We are located in the middle of a dry tropical forest in the most bio diverse country on the planet and we fumigate monthly. The gate wheels have since been cleaned and regreased. We have incredible safety and security here as everything is privately gated. The public water system was having maintenance for maybe a few hours. This happens only occasionally and never lasts long. We are exactly 250 meters from the beach and the walk takes no longer than 10 minutes and has to be one of the most gorgeous on earth. National Geograohic comes to document our beach walk through the mangrove. Our guests receive exclusive paid access from us. These renters came from living in a 20 story penthouse. The husband said he really loved the house and his wife is just not used to the nature. I think she arrived just too stressed out and depressed from the city and unable to handle some peace and quiet. We tried everything to make them feel at home and give a great experience. They seemed to really enjoy the monkeys in the yard. I really hope the very best for them.

Great beach cottage

Exactly like described: three bedrooms, three baths, a kitchen, air conditioning, spacious with a rustic charm. Beautiful art pieces hang from the walls and ceilings. Great for families, surrounded by trees and animals. Very close to the beach so that we would walk every morning to enjoy the waves. It’s impossible not to fall in love with this beach. The sunset is magical and my favourite time of the day for a stroll along the water. Last but most certainly not least our host Ben is truly a wonderful human being who did everything to make our stay great. Even pave the street because of the dust! We made extraordinary memories here while unwinding and touching base with ourselves and our family as a whole. We really appreciate you Ben, thanks for teaching the girls how to surf and for sharing your piece of paradise.

Ben is the best
Publié le 15 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayBen is the best host. He is super easy to contact, he replies in less than a hour usually, and if there’s anything you need he’s the guy to ask. His recommendations were wonderful. We loved the restaurants nearby, and Playa Avellanas is incredible.

Live Like a Local
Publié le 5 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayBen and his staff went out of their way to initiate and maintain communication with us as soon as we arrived in Costa Rica. We loved spending time outside on the hammocks and deck, and the proximity to the beach and restaurants was appropriate walking distance for our family which included small children. We had some hiccups with hot water and outlets due to a lightening storm but Ben and his crew were very responsive and got the issues resolved promptly. The property felt safe and we were happy to experience life in a Costa Rican style home. I would recommend the property to anyone with similar expectations. We would stay there again! Thanks Ben!

Great beach getaway!
