Hotel in ruins.

Pour : the beach. Beautiful, but we could not swim there. Too dangerous waves.
Contre : The whole hotel needs repair. The information online is misleading. The price range should be far less.
Emplacement : The beach, again, is gorgeous. It was low season, so not much to do. Good little restaurants around for some local food.
The hotel was a complete disappointment. It is completely in ruins. The price doesn't make any sense. The staff was very nice though, but couldn't do much. The beach nearby, however, is spectacular. Try other accommodations in the area.

Ingen restaurang, ingen wifi, ingen bar (som konstigt nog finns i beskrivningen) Personalen hade ingen koll på bokningar och gäster, vi fick veta att vår bokning kom bort(hittades sen), ett annat par fick sin bokning avbokad en dag innan ankomst via att hotellet skickat mail till en noreplay adress....ytterst oproffsigt. Hotellet var väldigt smutsigt, sand, myror, döda kryp och damm överallt, fläckar på sängkläder och handdukar. Vårt rum städades inte alls under de fem dagar vi var där och vi fick konstiga bett på kroppen, kanske bäddlöss. Välj ett annat hotell, detta förstörde vår vistelse fullständigt. Frukosten och poolen var ok.

I didn't receive a friendly welcome - it's the only place on the trip where I wasn't shown to my too or offered a drink. It's described as luxury but needs renovating - everything looks ten years old.

Contre : There seemed to be so many staff there doing nothing, with a teeny bit of effort it could have been so much better, the main buiilding/pool were nice
We arrived in rain so I do not expect a hotel to be able to fix the weather, however the whole experience was disappointing, this was supposed to be a "treat" after staying in cheaper accom previously. I booked this as lonely planet said it was the most luxurious place at Tangalla. Our room was in one of the 2 storey cabins, there had been no maintenance for a long while and was very shabby, tv had been removed leaving a tv stand and wire hanging loose off the wall (we don't watch tv, it just added to the air of disrepair), holes in the fly wire stuffed with toilet paper, lots of ants/bugs, mugs were dirty, sweetener for coffee was best before April 2015. Seemed like no one had been in it for months. We asked for beer - ok if they were alcohol free that would be fine I'm ok with that, but that wasn't they case, they just didn't have any and said they would send for a tuk tuk to bring us beer, we ordered some that came that night and had to go outside to meet the tuk tuk and pay for it. There were broken plastic old chairs laying around the beach area, if someone had spent an hour they could have tidied it up. The next day was sunny but all the paths were covered with leaves and debris but no one bothering to sweep up. Re food, they said if we ordered hours in advance they would send someone to town to buy ingredients, instead we went to Sandys next door, and spent most of our two days there, with beer/drinks/amazing food. Were sorry we hadn't stayed there for half the price

Kunde varit så mycket bättre

Tyvärr så verkar hotellet vara dåligt underhållet, handukarna var slitna och fläckiga, dynorna till solstolarna trasiga, trädgården dåligt skött, men det finns en god möjlighet att få det fantastiskt med en ny ägare.
