Golden Reef. Would go back in a minute.
Posted Jan. 20, 2025 on HomeAwayGreat stay. Attentive host. A very nice place sitting on a hillside overlooking the ocean and beautiful Playa Blanca beach at the foot of the hill. Enjoyed hanging out at the large terrace and taking in the amazing view. Saw a good number of scarlet macaws and flocks of pelicans. Down at the beach saw a troop of capuchin monkeys. Would go back in a minute.

Amazing view
Posted Oct. 3, 2024 on HomeAwayIf what you are looking for is a beautiful view, this is your place.
The only way to get to the beach is walking and the up hill walk is very very hard, definitely not for seniors.
Also is better to take with you all your groceries to cook your own meal due to getting in and out of the property its about 25 minutos and more if they send you by the public entrance, witch happens to us upon arrival.
The security guard on site, Jimy, was very helpful and friendly.
The apartment needs some minor refurbishment, specially with the kitchen utensils ( some are missing and the existing ones needs to be replaced) and the bathroom faucets.
For the price paid I will expect good hot water with nice shower heads, ( in one of the bathrooms there was no hot water at all, and some at the other two), also it will be nice to have good kitchen knives, serving spoons, table placemats etc due to its necessary to cook on site.
The kitchen appliances are very good quality.

Thank you Gloria for your constructive comments. Before each season (early Dec.), we replace all kitchen utensils, towels, and linen that show wear and tear. We will make sure that all concerns are addressed. I am also happy to report that this year we have redone all of the cabinetry boxes, and changed the AC's that were starting to show sign of fatigue.

Posted May 26, 2024 on HomeAwayIncredible views. Lovely place. Only downside is it’s a little bit of a hike to the beach and the dirt road to get to the condo take about 20 minutes

A Gem of a host!!!!
Posted Feb. 17, 2024 on HomeAwayThe communication between us and our host was 10 star. I have never had such special, friendly communication in any other VRBO rental and i have rented many.
Thank you Herve for all of the extra info you gave us about the area.
The condominium was immaculate with everything one needs to cook, etc..
The location of the condo overlooking the beach and Pacific was par excelance. Sunsets were amazing.
The ice cream place within the grounds of the Golden Reef was super and the restaurant was good and low key.
We rented golf carts to go to the beach since we needed them for certain issues we have.
I actually snorkled just off the beach and saw yellow tailed fish. I am sure you could see more if you went out further. I was alone so didn’t trust myself to go too far out.
The entire week was so beautiful and peaceful.
We now don't want to leave but Adios Golden Reef.

Stunning Views and a Clean Beautiful Condo
Posted Feb. 11, 2024 on HomeAwayMy family and I (daughter, son-in-law, two children) stayed here for several days and it was lovely. There aren't enough adjectives to describe the views from the very spacious balconies, which contained lots of seating options, a table and chairs for dining, and a hammock. The condo was very clean and had everything we needed in terms of dishes, towels, soaps, etc. It is also very spacious and really comfortable.
The pool area (and pool slide!) was greatly appreciated by the kids. Communications with the property manager were promptly answered and instructions were very clear on the arrival process (several guard stations to pass through, which makes the property extremely secure). The only small issue we found (when we arrived one toilet would not) was resolved quickly. Highly recommend this property for a peaceful getaway!!
PS La Ostra Negra is a WONDERFUL restaurant right near the first entry into the property.
