Stayed over for a wedding

Poor room
Publié le 1 juin 2024 sur HotelsCastle is stunning, food was amazing,the service in the 1857 restaurant was very slow, room was very dated, ( granted you are staying in a old castle ) but come on , get the basics in order, the room felt like I was in a very cheap b and b in Blackpool, for the price of £205 a night, I would expect the room not to look so tired.

Somewhat disappointed

Went to breakfast first day but was unsure if it was included or extra since menu stated price (turned out it was included). No slotted times so it go to be a long wait. Second morning we waited for about an hour after placing order for hot breakfast and it still hadn’t arrived and no one addressed our concerns so we left. Continental breakfast was very sparse that morning as well. Dinner in brassiere was good but again slow service. Expected more for the price we paid.

The castle is fantastic, It felt like living in a fairy tale! Lovely ground and an excellent staff. I highly recommend staying at this amazing castle!
