Parlay at Sunset is a large 5 Bedroom (sleeps 11), 3 Bathroom beachfront vacation rental on the beautiful island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Located on the calm, clear waters of Eleuthera's Caribbean side you can spend hours playing on the beach, snorkeling in the clear shallow waters or just soaking in the warm Bahamian sunshine. The beach at Parlay at Sunset is absolutely stunning. The usually calm 'Caribbean' blue waters are perfect for kayaking, snorkeling and diving. The sandy beach is miles long and filled with amazing seashells, large and small, all waiting to be collected and treasured.

Fantastic Vacation!
This property is amazing and we had NO disappointments! The beds were comfortable and felt like home versus a hotel bed. The kitchen had almost every appliance you could want to help prep meals. The Screenroom was our favorite place to take our meals. We spent most of our week kayaking and snorkeling off the beach outside the house. There is so much wildlife right in the water right off the shore. We will cherish this trip and hope to return to Parlay at Sunset!

Perfect for family with small kids
We loved this house and especially the screened in porch were we spent every morning and evening. Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. We were six adults and 2 kids under 6 and we had a fantastic time. Thank you Charles for making it easy and a very relaxing stay.

We had a great vacation at Parlay at Sunset. The location is very private, no close neighbors. The kitchen is very well equipped including lots of spices. We loved the Bahamas Room. The sunsets were amazing. A great selection of sunscreen and bug repellent was appreciated. We had as many as 4 local, well behaved dogs to enjoy. Buy some dog food, they are hungry. We hope to return soon for more than 8 days.

The house was great, the wall decor a bit cliche, the starving neighborhood dogs were a sad sight. The beach and water was perfect and the hosts very helpful. If you like dogs I suggest you pick up a bag of dog food, lots of dog begging otherwise!

Perfection for a family of laid back travelers!
I just wanted to thank you for sharing Parlay at Sunset with us! We had a fantastic time in Eleuthera. It might not be for everyone...but it was perfect for us! The house has ample room, a great kitchen with anything you need and more. We had planned to have our grandchildren with us but they didn't make it - we wish that they could have because they have everything necessary for them too! Diana has gone overboard to provide all of the information that you could/would need for your stay. We found food and new friends along the way too! She is spot-on with her suggestions of people to contact for services and they were all so lovely! It was an awesome vacation!

Parlay at Sunset is a great villa. I was amazed how much rooms and space we had. Many bedrooms, sofas, kitchen appliances, etc. On the first day when we reached the patio, we saw the beach setup with all the kayaks, paddle boards , we knew we made the right choice. This villa is spacious, clean, directly on the beach. Just amazing !

Wonderful respite in southern Eleuthera
We had just a short stay in Tarpum Bay and rented this wonderful property. The beach was great and the amenities were very good. The location is a bit remote which we like but may not be for everyone. The house was extremely comfortable and catered to the children which was wonderful. Would certainly go back here again for a longer period in the future. We love Eleuthera !!!!

Amazing vacation place for our family!
This place was perfect for our family. There was enough indoor/outdoor space to spend lazy days unwinding at home, or go out adventuring. The equipment at the house was easily accessible, in good shape and well organized so we could paddle board and snorkel very easily. The kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and dishes to make meal prep easy. Diana helped us organize car rental, allowing us to enjoy a fishing charter in the North as well as visit other beaches and sights along the Queen's Highway. The information on shopping and other tips were very helpful from this host! It's a beach cottage, so there were some insects and a few quirks, but nothing that significantly detracted from our enjoyment of the place. Overall, a very relaxing place to stay.

We found the property online. From the beginning, we had several communications with the owner/manager. They were extremely responsive and helpful to every question. The property looked beautiful in the pictures, but was even better in person. We had a large group of six adults and four children but we were all able to stay comfortably and enjoy this exceptional property. You will enjoy it as well.

Amazing private property
We were all amazed by the beauty of Eleuthera. The house was perfect and very comfortable. Our backyard was a private resort. We enjoyed all the activities and couldn’t get enough of the water. The only thing I can stress to take serious is the no seeums, don’t go outside without bug spray at all times. Out of seven of us, I got the worst bitten. And I didn’t even know it till we arrived back home. They creep up 1 to 2 days later. It still won’t keep me from coming back again someday. We loved the property! Thank you Diana for sharing your amazing home with us.

Paradise
This was our favorite VRBO ever, and we have stayed in many! Diana answered any questions we had right away. We rented two vehicles from Diana, and they were at the airport waiting for us. The house accommodated our group of eight adults without any problems. Everyone said their beds were extremely comfortable. Having a washer and dryer at each end of the house was also very handy for our group. If we were not out on the beach we would be in the screened in patio. The beach, right out our backdoor, was amazing. We had a couple people in our group who were not swimmers, but they ended up loving the water as much as the rest of us. It was so warm, calm, and clear, snorkeling right there was simply great. The power did go out briefly a few times, but the generator kicked on right away. The kitchen had everything we needed. We also ventured out and the property was located central to everything. I cannot say enough about this property. If you get a chance to get to Eleuthera do not hesitate to stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing beach, great family getaway
We had a great time at this property. The beach was amazing - soft sand with tons of seashells, and shallow, swimmable water that went on and on. The water was calm, with no discernable currents while we were there, making it a great place for kids and adults to swim, snorkel, paddleboard, and kayak. We saw an octopus, lots of live sea urchins and sand dollars, lobster, coral, barracuda, small fish, etc. The screen porch was nice - I think we would have gotten a lot more use out of it if we had visited during a cooler season. But it was still handy for our gear and shells. The outdoor shower was also greatly appreciated. The beds were comfortable. The location was also reasonably close to shops and some great beaches, like Ten Bay. And the caretaker, Ken, was very helpful. Finally, besides the beach, the best part of this property may have been the generator. There were frequent power outages when we were there, which I understand to be common in Eleuthera, and we were very glad we had picked a place with an automatic backup generator. Don't stay at a property without one! We would gladly stay here again if we ever make it back to the island.

Nothing short of AMAZING
This property is absolutely AMAZING! The house, the yard, the beach, the amenities…it’s everything you could ask for. We snorkeled right off the beach and the ocean is so alive…sitting in a chair in the water reading, there was a starfish right beside us and fish swimming at our feet. The host is gave us great tips before travel and provided very helpful information for our stay. Do not pass on this property!!!

This house was perfect for our crew, plenty of room for everyone without feeling on top of each other. The house has everything that you need. Diana was always prompt answering all of our questions and emails. Ken was an absolute delight! We messaged him one morning that the gas grill was out of propane and he had it replaced by the time we returned to the house so we could grill burgers after a long day at Tippy’s and Ten Bay. We loved our time here at the house and the island, the only down side was not enough time to do everything we wanted to do. Rest assured we will be back!

The pictures do NOT do this property justice! The beach was amazing and so very private. We used the kayaks everyday. The sunsets are perfect from the screened in porch. We house is very well stocked and perfect for a family. It was just the two of us, but the space is plenty big for a family to spread out. We found Rock Sound to be a great little town. Wild Orchid restaurant was our favorite. So many great beaches to explore! Had an amazing time!!! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We recently returned from our third stay at Parlay at Sunset. We were so impressed by and appreciative of all of the house and property updates since our last stay! Diana was very supportive and responsive to any needs or questions we had during our stay. She sent along fun suggestions of things to explore on the island. Ken and Audrey Culmer are the local caretakers and live just down the way. We so appreciated their support and kindness. Truly wonderful folks! Eleuthera is such a beautiful place and each beach provides a different experience. Although there were many places to explore, we ended up spending a lot of our time just enjoying the wonders found in our own “backyard” at Parlay! We will be back again for sure!

Incredible Vacation!
We had an incredible vacation in Tarpum Bay! The house is gorgeous and perfectly located! Literally has everything you need for a great week! We explored every part of the island we could & even went to Spanish Wells (a golf cart island)! The water & life right in front of the house was the best! We would love to come back some day! Definitely buy/bring an underwater camera! Olympus Tough TG-6 Digital Camera package we got on Amazon!Its great for all weather and all trips! Some things we wish we knew before we came…. Most places are cash only & at least 3x the price of US. When we do this again, we will check one suitcase of basic food/drinks for the week! Gas is over $6 a gallon! If you drive and explore like us, have plenty of gas money! We took the Eleuthera Outdoor Center Paddling Tour right in Rock Sound and it was great! For $135 each you snorkel a canal (amazing!), fed turtles, fed stingray, and even fed pigs! They said they frequently see dolphins and can sometimes swim with them but we didn’t see them on our trip. It was well worth the adventure! We ate at 4 restaurants & all were great! Buccaneer’s had a lovely breakfast, Captain Q was a great dinner, Mel’s was great smoothies, French Leave was a great atmosphere/food but very expensive! We also tried the bakery in town and each had something different & all was great! Most importantly EVERYONE is so kind in every town! It’s a very safe, quiet island to relax in peace!

Love this place!
My husband and I honeymooned here at Parlay 10 years ago and had talked about returning for our 10th anniversary since the day we left back in 2013. Our friends owned the property back then but Diana, the current owner, was fabulous to work with this time around. She was prompt in responding to questions/concerns. Ken, the property manager, was excellent and super helpful as well. We didn't have internet when we visited 10 years ago, so that was a really nice upgrade! We also loved the screened in porch added to the back of the house. The only thing that we missed on this visit was all the trees that were cut down since we were here last :( They provided more privacy (can see to the road out front now) and lovely shade - but we tend to be more shade than sun loving kind of people. Parlay is a place we would love to return to again. There's so much to do here on the beach and it's great that Diana has made kayaks, paddleboards and snorkel gear available for use! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. It made for a really special return visit to Eleuthera!

Another fantastic stay
This is our second time visiting Eleuthera and staying at Parlay at Sunset. We went for the first time for our 5 year and now again for our 10 year anniversary and also my husband's birthday. The house and the beach are fantastic. It's like having your own private beach out your back door! The house was very clean and the upgrades since our last stay are amazing! Ken (the caretaker) is wonderful. He will make sure you have everything you need and will check in on you to make sure everything is alright. It's a sense of comfort knowing that someone is there in case you need them. Also, ask him where you can get the Daylicious Pastries, They were wonderful!! We will definately be back again for our 15 year anniversary. Thank you Diane and Ken for making our trip perfect!

Just a wonderful property and time!
Parlay at Sunset was just as advertised! Spacious, clean, hospitable, and packed with amenities. Both host and property manger were super communicative and accommodating. Vehicle rental and transport to-and-from the airport were extremely convenient. Great to have such a responsive and informed resource locally, as the island infrastructure is limited and you'll benefit from the help in navigating requests. Oh, and the sunsets right out the house, through the screened sunroom (clutch!) and directly onto the beach...amazing!

Excellent house and location!
This was our first time in Eleuthera and we loved everything about Parlay at Sunset. The house is modern, comfortable, and comes with many amenities both inside and out. The beach and ocean are simply stunning. The property manager, cleaners, and Diana were so kind and helpful. We will be back next year and certainly hope to stay here again!

40th Birthday Celebration
The property, the owners and caretakers were wonderful. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 to hang out. The screened in porch is wonderful. This place has everything you need to enjoy the water, paddle boards, boogie boards, kayaks, snorkels, etc. The location of the property is great, nice and close to the Island Farm, which we almost visited daily for fresh bread and produce. This property doesn’t disappoint, we’ll definitely book another stay at this property.
