Close to lovely estuary walks and the great Georgian village with its many pubs, cafes and independent shops. Abi the host responded promptly to any messages - a 5 star stay for sure.

Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWir haben die Tage in Shaldon sehr genossen. Das Appartement ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wohnlich. Die Betten waren bequem und in der Küche fanden wir alles Nötige.
Toll fanden wir, dass wir aif dem kleinen Situplatz frühstücken konnten. Es ist so gut gelegen, dass wir zu Fuss

Publié le 26 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were extremely pleased with the property, very clean and everything supplied for our stay. One small suggestion some kind of shower caddy is needed - no where to put shower gel, shampoo etc except on the floor of the shower.

Shaldon
Publié le 28 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayLovely cottage, very clean, great location / area. I had travelled through before this time & enjoyed Ness Cove & Smugglers tunnel. Took the ferry across toTeignmouth, brilliant! Took a detour to A La Ronde on way home- recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

Perfect short break
Publié le 14 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayStaying in the lovely cottage in Shaldon was an absolute delight! The accommodation itself is excellent and close to amenities. The village boasts a bakery, inviting pubs, and the fantastic Clipper restaurant, ensuring there's never a shortage of delicious dining options. Additionally, the short walk to Teignmouth provided ample opportunities to explore the pier, browse quaint shops, indulge in cozy cafes, and even take a scenic ferry back to Shaldon, making it a truly memorable and picturesque getaway. Shaldon Zoo was also a great way to spend a few hours. We didn’t use the car the whole time we were there either so racked up quite a few steps, which was another bonus! Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting!

A quiet break

Only two of us plus the dog, so the cottage was more than adequate and very well located within easy walk of the beach plus a brilliant butchers and village store. A big plus is the undercroft parking as parking is an issue in the village even out of season. Cottage is well equipped and ideal for self catering. The local pubs are ok but not as good out of season. Overall a lovely break for both of us.

We are glad you had an enjoyable break! We are very lucky to have the butchers , bakers and village store on our door step. If you visit again then I can recommend some lovely nearby pubs within a good dog walking distance but not in Shaldon itself.
