And just outside, there's a cozy, furnished deck where you can sip your morning coffee and breathe in some of that fresh mountain air.

Set in the Blue Mesa Lodge in Mountain Village, you'll be just 50 steps away from Chair 1 and conveniently close to Chair 4, the main ticketing office, the ice skating rink at Hotel Madeline, and the Telluride Ski & Snowboard School, as well as the gondola that takes you to Mountain Village, Town Hall Plaza, and into the heart of Telluride. Additionally, the Galloping Goose stops right in front of the lodge making it easy for you to get where you need to go without a vehicle.

Location is great! Unit is very small and probably best for just 2 people. It was just my husband and myself so it was fine. Noise from the unit upstairs and could use a new bed were the only negatives. We would stay again for the convenience and price.

This place is 5 min walk to Mountain Village shops and free Gondola to Telluride. The condo was very clean and quiet. Cute small balcony for 2 people. Comfy bed and open layout. The shower pressure was like a waterfall. I have never been cleaner. We will look to book here again next time.

While this unit was fine for two people, it needs some attention. The bathroom sink drips constantly, and the faucet unit it loose. The toaster has a broken wire that reaches the bread and burns a spot. There is no kitchen towel for drying dishes, so you have to use way too many paper towels. The person in the unit above stomped about in the evening, which was annoying.

I stayed 6 nights. Units had a ski locker with a combination lock in the mud room. Vacasa could not tell whether I'm allowed to use it. Unit was entitled to free Dial a Ride. Vacasa could not give me the code. In general, communication with Vacasa was by far the poorest experience I have had with a VRBO property manager. On the positive side, the property location is perfect. Its a 3 minute walk from chair 4 and the gongola, and closer to many Mountain Village restaurants, coffee, retail stores like Boot Doctors and Chrity Sport. The property was clean. The internet stopped working on 4th day. Vacasa handled that well, they had me restart the router and internet was restored.

Location is great, property very clean,, well stocked with what we needed.
It was perfect for us, we skied everyday and had dinner out or got takeout. We’ll stocked with towels, are only complaint if your a morning coffee person they need a better coffee pot! We ended up going out to get it at 8.50 $ a cup. Gotta have are coffee.

Awesome location and super convenient. You really don’t need a vehicle here. Close to lifts, Gondola, Ski Village, etc. if you do bring a car just park at the Inn at Lost Creek for $25.

Happy Thoughts is nothing like the run...it was easy and simply great for a ski weekend in Telluride. The location can't be beat, and should be advertised as ski in/ski out. The accomodations are quaint and great for 2. The bed is super comfy. The only complaint would be the loud lights and heater...a very loud buzz and click. Overall a great stay.

Unfortunately I never made it to Telluride this year because of the resort closure related to the Covid-19 pandemic. I had excellent communication with Tom and Wendy the owners and I would definitely recommend their place based on that and the location I know very well from past trips.

Great place in a great location
Cute place in a prime location. Place is exactly as described, was clean and owners are welcoming. We stayed here for 5 nights and didn’t experience any issues. We came with our 1 year old son and brought a travel crib with us. The place was big enough to put the crib in a corner and still have a good sized living area, as well as a bedroom that was sectioned off from the living area with a half wall. The place is steps away from everything, great restaurants, gondola, and skiing. Family friendly!

This place is GREAT! You can’t beat the location. You are in the middle of everything. The place was clean, better then the pictures, and the owners where there when we needed them. We got dropped off at the wrong place and I called the owners and he picked up right away and spoke with our driver. The place is warm and quiet at night. Good water pressure! Easy instructions to get in, great storage locker for our snowboard gear, plenty of pillows blankets and towels. We stayed 8 days and felt at home. I really can’t think of anything negative to say about the place. I highly recommend it!!!

Happy Thought was just that.
It was a great property.Very convenient to ride the gondola into Telluride.It was clean and the owners had put out a few things for us upon our arrival.That was a nice touch.Would recommend this place for anyone wanting a place to stay in Mountain Village.

Perfect location, wonderful space.
My boyfriend and I were in town for a conference and Happy Thought was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location was great, the condo was clean and spacious (for a condo) and well appointed. We were both able to comfortably set up a little "office" in the kitchen and still have space to relax. The one issue we had is that deliveries to the restaurant below can be a little noisy (more of an issue on warm days when you'll keep the windows open). Luckily, the delicious food (authentic Italian pizza) more than makes up for it. We would definitely stay again!
