This is where Tom Hanks ran to in the Movie “Forest Gump” . Port Clyde is a quaint little village at the end of the peninsula. Which has access to Monhegan Island by ferry, Drift-Inn beach, restaurants and we must not forget about the Ice Cream shop. The City of Rockland is about a 15 minute drive. You can find lots of local shops, art galleries, museums and restaurants there. Other popular places and towns are within a days drive; Acadia National Park- 2.5 hours, Portland -1.5 hours, Bangor -1.5 hours, town of Camden- 35 minutes, Belfast - 1 hour, Owls Head transportation museum -15 minutes. Old Orchard beach -2 hours.
Newly updated 1900 farmhouse for single or a blended family vacation. This home sleeps 6 with room for 8. This is a two-story home with 2 queen beds, bunk bed, and a bonus room on the second floor. On the main floor there is a fully stocked kitchen that has everything you’d need to cook for the family and then some. 2 couches in the family room along with a gas fireplace. there is a half bath/laundry room that is easily accessible for those swimming in the pool. Large deck just off the kitchen with plenty of seating and a gas grill.

There is a water filled quarry that abuts the property and where you may find locals swimming, floating on inner tubes or local artists painting just a short distance from the backyard.

All water activities at the quarry will need to have a pass which is received from the Long Cove Swim Club. Passes can be acquired prior to your stay at Sunset Vista. All rules of the quarry must be respected and adhered to for the safety of those using the quarry for swimming.
