Publié le 29 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were at this location due to my husbands job. We were very disappointed with our stay. To begin with it states in the amenities that it has a hot tub, washer and dryer. It does not have a hot tub(spa whirlpool). We could not find the washer and dryer. I messaged the host but he stated that it did not say hot tub but hot water. It clearly says hot tub. He said that he would contact the house keeping and get them to unlock the access door for the washer and dryer. I explained that we were going to have to wash our towels and clothes. The next day house keeping had not shown up so I messaged the host again. He stated once again that he would contact house keeping to come unlock the door. The next day we were out of clean towels and clothes so we decided to go ahead and leave a day early. I messaged him to let him know we were leaving due to not being able to wash the towels and clothes. He stated then that access to the washer and dryer was only given to extended guests and that it was extra towels in a drawer. It was no drawer and he failed to tell me that the access to the washer and dryer was for extended guests the first two times I messaged him. I have a copy of the amenities listed and the messages to and from the host. Will be glad to post if necessary. Perhaps the host/owner should change the amenities to include no hot tub and washer/dryer access to extended guests only. Had I known this I would have stayed at another house.

Unfortunately this lady mistakenly thought there was a hot tub when the listing says hot water. She arrived and within 10 minutes demanded the key to the washer dryer so she could do loads of laundry. At this point we felt this was a scam. Nothing made this woman happy and upon further review we discovered she and her husband had made national and world news in Mississippi being charged in racially motivated profiling and recorded remarks. You can see the CNN story and others by googling “Sam Dobbins chief of police Mississippi”. So we now have all our red flags and questions answered in regard to these two. Sad.

Some suggestions

2. May want to consider putting a non slip mat in the shower and some kind of bar to hold onto.
3. Rug in bathroom to step out of shower
4. Refund damage insurance if nothing is damaged.

Perfect location

Texas City Levee Visit
Publié le 21 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy friend and I wanted to get away for a weekend and visit Texas City. This was the cutest little house in the downtown area, and it was really close to everything we wanted. Everything was exactly as stated in the description, and the entire process was easy!

Place was cute. Communication with host was not great. He seemed to have an attitude
Publié le 15 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayPlace itself was cute and location was great although beds were very uncomfortable and springy and pillows were flat. The couch was more comfortable. There were a couple of roaches. But what i didn't like was the communication with the host. He claimed to have called me all day to give me a different code than what was provided after booking. But it was only one missed call and it was during while i was still driving (i live 5 hours away). And there was miscommunication somewhere when he said the ac guy was there at the house while we were at the beach and i said ok will he be long because we will be on our way back and we dont want to deal with anyone else in the house since ac was working fine when we got there. He then said the guy left i said ok. But we got back to the house and a man shows up. The point is to just have our peace and not deal with random people. Honestly the total price paid (so said under market value) was the same as other places because theres also a charge per person and additional insurance. I should have picked something else for my family.

Lyna left the place dirty, had unauthorized guests and didn't disclose or pay the pet fee for the two dogs she tried to hide. So her comment about my attitude I'll accept. When you destroy my house and lie it's likely we won't be the best of friends....

Great weekend
