This charming, clean and comfortable home in the Village of Duval is in the perfect location, ideally situated for folks who want to take full advantage of all The Villages has to offer. In the geographic center of The Villages, you will be halfway between Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood Paddock, just minutes away from either using the owner’s golf cart. You can listen to free live music every night of the year, enjoy restaurants and shops, and conveniently participate in your favorite activities.

Stay Awhile Cottage is perfect for one or even two couples: It features TWO king bed master suites, brand new plank floors throughout, and tasteful furnishings to keep you comfortable and cozy. You will feel right at home as you walk in the door. Relax in the open and sunny living room, or on the large, breezy lanai, which is screened and with windows for year round comfort.

There are two luxurious sleeping areas: EACH bedroom is furnished with a super-comfortable KING BED for an amazing night’s sleep.

The fully supplied kitchen has everything you will need for a quick breakfast, a gourmet dinner, or anything in between. There is filtered water at the sink and a coffee pot (drip or Keurig) with starter supply of coffee/filters, blender, microwave, and everything else your kitchen at home offers. There's even a wine bar (BYOW!)

Relax in your down time in two comfy recliners or curl up in bed and watch your favorite shows on any of three cable-connected TVs, stream movies on demand through the included Comcast streamed tv service, and even connect to your Netflix or Amazon Prime or other services on the Roku TVs.

Life in The Villages is sweet: You wake up to birds singing as you sip your morning coffee or relax after golf, tennis, or pickleball on our fabulous 24’x12’ lanai. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can enjoy your meals in one of over 30 country club restaurants —there are 4 within two miles—or one of the dozens of great spots in Lake Sumter Landing (~3 mi. north), or Brownwood Paddock (~3mi south), the two lively town squares, each only a short ride away in our golf cart (a gas-powered Yamaha). And speaking of golf, there are at least half a dozen courses within five minutes and over 50 courses available for you to play throughout The Villages. Interested in the hottest new sport? Take free pickleball lessons 3 minutes away by golf cart and join the largest pickleball community in the country! Or join any activity you can think of. We enjoyed our first trip to the villages. Joel was a great communicator and resolved issues immediately. The golf cart was a plus as we are avid golfers and played in several championship and executive courses. The home had everything we needed tho we didn’t spend a lot of time there. A great rental
We loved this rental. Very open and airy. Very clean and the beds were extra comfortable. There were plenty of dishes and cookware as we have lots of family over for the holidays. It was nice not having to ask them to bring plates and silverware so we’d have enough. There were two issues that we had to talk to the owner about and he took care of them immediately. We were impressed. Would definitely rent again.

This was just perfect for us. We were visiting for my Mom’s 80th birthday and parents 60th wedding anniversary. Great space, wonderful lanai, great details on how everything works and the golf cart was perfect for our needs. We will definitely look into this property again when we visit family!!

Welcoming home away from home
The house is clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. There were lots of little extras around to make us feel at home (make up mirrors, dog supplies, etc) Two master suites with full bathrooms and king beds. Great quality mattresses, towels, linens. Kitchen is fully stocked with every need, even some pantry/food items (coffee, spices, etc) Included bbq and golf cart are nice touches. Outstanding host - wish he had more properties! Highly recommend.

Property is as good as advertised. In the same message we were told the property is ready to check in we were told the washing machine broke the previous weekend, and could we stay to let the repair man in and stay until he leaves. After a false start, repairman shows up later than scheduled and left 2.5 hours later. Meanwhile we had to reschedule our plans. Probably should receive a partial commission for managing the property that day.
