Work and Play Trip

We are blown away by The Villages! Our stay at your place was the perfect work play balance Our Dogs loved the backyard and we could not be happier with the house! My husband is a Public Adjuster and we had clients to take care of after Hurricane Helene, but after helping them we were able to enjoy all the pools restaurants music we could in our 5 day stay! Thank you for being so quick to respond and let us book an extra night to relax and play! Fantastic Host and Community! Highly recommend!!! Thank you Tom! Look forward to returning to just relax !

Beautiful home

The house was as beautiful as described. Great location too. Golf cart rode well. We used uber after dark rather than maneuver it at night. We were warned that we had to wash & dry sheets & towels. I would not choose to do that again. I prefer the cleaning company do all that. However it was stated b4 hand so that’s on me. The owners were terrific. FYI there is no coffee so bring some with you! The neighbors were friendly as well.

Thanks Barbara. It's difficult to get cleaners in the Villages because of demand on their time. We actually charge tenants less than we have to pay the cleaners. And if they stay an extra hour or more to wash and dry the linens, then the cost would be much higher and the chances of booking the cleaning on busy days are less. I'm not saying this as an excuse, only to verify the problem in the Villages to secure good cleaners. There is a policy option to pay extra for cleaning linens if the tenant wishes to do so and if we can secure the extra time necessary. i hope that explains it a bit. THANK YOU for your nice comments about the house being beautiful and the owners being terrific! We try hard. Hope you will visit us again.

Overall was just ok. Could have been cleaner. Some items in disrepair, such as a missing smoke detector in the hallway and porch ceiling fan blades needing replacing. The golfcart had a flat tire after a few miles, and by the visual condition of that tire, was obvious we lost that round of "musical chairs." The 24hr golfcart maintenance number was a non-starter, answering on the stormy night, but unable to effect repair on the weekend. A spare tire was expected from them next morning, but they finally called at dinner time--no help. The linens washing/bed making requirement is new to us, and our booking was the day prior, so refund/cancellation not an option. In light of the housekeeping chores required, the random 10:00am checkout time is too early, without purpose. Checkout should be noon, or even later, as the "cleaning" is nearly done.

Dear Dean, We are truly sorry - it sounds like all the chips fell during your stay. I can't understand the cleaning as it is usually excellent. I will look into it, but i wish you had called immediately because we try to remedy things on the spot. And we prefer tenants to notify us when it can be corrected for you rather than waiting to give a bad review when we can no longer correct it for you. You are right about the fan blades losing shape a bit in the Florida heat. The smoke detector was not there because the fire department said it was no longer needed according to the latest code. There is another smoke detector about one foot away from the one missing. The tires always wear out quickly when the air pressure is low and tenants don't check it before driving long distances. The 10 am check out time is to allow for cleaning and known before renting. The cleaners clean everything from scratch. Thank you Dean.

The villa was perfect for my husband and I. The location was convenient to Sumter Landing. The purpose of the trip was to see old friends, that was accomplished. We hope to come back in the future. Thank you

Nice courtyard villa close to Sumter landing. Comfortable bed and living room furniture. Very smooth check in process. Host was quick to respond. Would definitely stay here again!
