Quiet village pub with nice real ales and a basic but delicious menu. Room was clean with plenty of coffee/ tea on offer. En-suite was basic but clean. All in all a very nice stay.

A lovely break in our journey north.
Very relaxed, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Would stay again.

Just a one night stay room basic but comfortable short on electric plugs but inexpensive convenient for the flower show at Newbury Hall.Evening meal was very good and so was breakfast both were very good value for money and the hosts were very friendly and attentive.

This is a group of 6 guests, 3 rooms who all turned up at 11.30am for a wedding. I was only expecting 1 couple early. There was some confusion over rooms on their return at 12.45am. Though this was quickly resolved. The guest all had full breakfast and departed without paying. It was only when I stopped them in the car park did they offer. I told them that because of the confusion the night before they did not have to pay for breakfast. (6 full english, Tea ,Toast and Orange juice)

A lovely break (3 nights) was enjoyed here, Host was great informing us of all we needed to know. I liked the idea of choosing what breakfast option you wanted, even if that meant deciding the night before. Typical Pub arrangement where a number of steps were encountered and therefore not for the immobile i would suggest. Good value.

Only spent 1 night here, lovely beer garden at back of pub, full of flowers. Olde worlde pub, quaint. We stayed for our evening meal , I had the fish pie with veg, and my husband had the steak pie and chips, which were delicious. You have to go to the bar for your drinks. Everyone was very friendly. Happy with our room, as it was hot there was a fan to use. Bed a bit soft for us. Maybe take a torch for during the night as it was very dark! We stayed for breakfast, £10 each for full English with orange juice, tea or coffee and toast and jam. Very good value, would recommend.
