Fantastic hotel for a Yala safari base
Publié le 17 juill. 2024 sur HotelsThe Chaarya Resort and Spa is a gorgeous hotel set in a beautiful palm tree lined property. They have a very refreshing pool, a cool outdoor bar, pool table, games area, gym and spa facilities. The grounds are absolutely immaculate, they have multiple gardeners working the lawns all the time. The hotel consists of multiple 1 or 2 story buildings meaning that its private and quiet. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The whole hotel has very chill vibes with music playing throughout. You definitely feel very relaxed throughout the stay. The only improvement I can recommend is the food at the restaurant. They probably need more variety throughout the days. The food was average, not great. But the hotel is within walking distance to some fantastic local restaurants so it wasn't a problem. The value for money at this hotel is incredible.

Gateway to Yala
Publié le 13 juill. 2024 sur HotelsChaarya is a wonderful resort. The pool was awesome, the rooms superb, and the evening buffet was one of the best buffets I have ever experienced for less than $15usd. Great spot for visiting Yala.

Hassles for my driver.
Publié le 18 déc. 2022 sur HotelsThe room was fine except for the problem of flies in the room. I didn't appreciate the treatment my driver received. In Sri Lanka hotels offer free accommodation to drivers. This hotel at first refused to give my driver that service with the sorry excuse that I was a foreigner! What does that have to do with anything!? It was a lot of trouble to get the hotel to give us and my driver the same service they grant to Sri Lankans.
