A wonderful oasis of calm, out in the jungle, just off the Tatai river. Accessible by a short boat trip, you are really surrounded by the sights and sounds of Cambodia's flora and fauna.
There are seven wooden bungalows, raised on stilts from the jungle floor, with a central restaurant/bar/relaxing area. The lodge strives to ecological and community sensitivity, so there's no air conditioning, no heated water and no mini-bar! Everything you really need is here though: safe drinking water, great food as part of the price, light and (most importantly) WiFi! There's also a Spa on site, and there are few experiences as good as having a Khmer oil massage in a wooden pagoda, with only the sounds of the jungle and the river to disturb you.
The staff are wonderful, and their enthusiasm for the lodge, the country they inhabit, and the local community shines through. Steve, Elliot & Janet work hard to balance the needs of their guests with the needs of the country, utilising solar power and a bio digester to limit the impact on the environment. They also fund, and work with the local community to enhance and provide services. Gee, the resident naturalist is genuinely passionate about everything growing in and around the lodge, and will happily go out on walks, hikes and kayak trips to share that enthusiasm.
There's loads to do (if you want to, otherwise there's hammocks and great food). A trip to
