Beautiful Lake House w/ Private Beach
Looking for a summer getaway on the lake? This is the perfect spot!
The house is located on the shores of Chaumont Bay just 40 minutes from Watertown Int'l Airport. Why not be located in perfect proximity to all of the popular summer destinations spots?
Cape Vincent - 17 min Clayton - 40 min Sackets Harbor - 40 min Watertown - 40 min Alexandria Bay - 50 min
Let's talk about where you'll be staying: The house is a BIG two bedroom, one bath cabin on a private lot. One bedroom is downstairs and has a queen bed. Perfect for two people. The second bedroom is the loft above the great room and definitely the one you want to claim if you want the picture-perfect views of the lake! Because the loft is so big, you'll have two queen beds and be able to sleep 4 additional people. Lastly, you'll have a queen size air bed at your disposal if you need room to sleep up to two additional.
The dining room will seat 8, so we encourage you to sit around the table to break bread with friends and family. But if that's not your thing, grab your plates and head outside to sit around the fire pit while you nosh.
If all the outdoor activities have got you vying for some downtimeâ in front of the big screen, you'll have two to chose from -- one in the great room downstairs (complete w/ surround sound for the perfect movie night experience) and one just above in the upstairs loft. For your indoor fun there is a ping pong table to enjoy!
The house has beautiful views and is very spacious. The host was very communicative and the place was a wonderful deal. The hot water has a very bad aroma, sulfur I believe, and it would be nice if it could be filtered in a way to remove the smell. The outside temps got up to about 80 and the loft area got very warm making it a little difficult for the guest who was up there to sleep. A/C was not a listed amenity so this inconvenience was entirely on me. Overall a wonderful experience and I do not believe that you could find a nicer place for the money!
The Great Room and deck is amazing. All the windows let so much natural light in and the chairs on the deck are so comfortable. Just watching the lake, deer and turkeys very relaxing.
It was a beautiful place to stay on beautiful land. We loved the ping pong table and the games and loved skipping rocks and looking at the stars. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
My boys and I had a great time here. Helena was so easy to work with. Very responsive. The house was perfect, the lake was beautiful. Iâd def recommend this place to anyone!
The property is as listed. Everything seemed well kept. The facilities were more than adequate. The weather was hot and humid so we definitely took advantage of the fans and the water. Great for swimming and cooling off! The porch was a great place to enjoy a meal or sit and watch the water. Plenty of space inside to spread out and relax!
Excellent property. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay on 3 Mile Bay.
The home is in a great location and is well appointed. Comfortable beds and great beach for swimming. Water pressure isn't the best but that is a minor consideration and fairly common in the area so by no means unique to this property. Communication with host was great and Helena was very responsive. I would not hesitate to book again (and likely will!).
Party in the front (newer addition, great room, loft) Retro in the back (original, vintage 1974.) Extremely well appointed. Just bring food, drink, maybe paper plates. 28x12 deck housed our labs nicely. We all felt very relaxed. Water, perfect.
Took my breath away!! Walking into the living area, I just stopped to gaze out the picture windows to the view of the bay. The property was very comfortable and clean. Spent my morning with coffee by the water. Kids were comfortable just lounging on the oversized sofas and I spent time on the deck. Fishing was awesome and my son caught his first drum.
Thank you Helena for sharing your home with us. We had a lovely stay with our three young kids (aged 2-8) and grandma. Lots of space inside and outside. The beach is rocky but totally manageable, and my kids loved swimming and snorkeling. Easy day trips to Cape Vincent and Alexandria Bay. We would definitely stay here again.
Love the deck, water access and view ok furniture comfortable all cooking equiptment wprked well.overall house cleaning poor, water pressure poor in shower ,holes in sliding doors screens also screen door had interior broken handle. Had to kill 4-6 wasps inside every day. With all that said the cottage a nice comfort level to it.May rent again
Beautiful home on the water. Just a wonderful place to go and relax. All the amenities and more than being at home. Host was extremely nice to deal with.
This lake lot was beautiful and quiet. Owner was easy to communicate with. The view was as described - sunrises were amazing. We would definitely go again.
The house was clean and quiet, a perfect get away to reconnect with the world, in my eyes. Wrong time of the year to go if you are looking for things to do but if not then highly recommended. The lake is peaceful and quiet, the location is secluded and quiet. Perfect get away! Thank you to Helena for having such a great place that is also pet friendly as myself and my fur pal had a great time. Maybe invest in a kayack to keep there as that would have just put it right over the top for me, but other than that loved it.
This place was absolutely perfect! The views from every room are amazing, and there was plenty of room inside to spread out.
We had a blast catching 4 plus pound smallies all week and will definitely go back!
Helena was a wonderful host. The home was beautiful and well stocked. The water views were breathtaking. Clean water with easy access in and out (very easy for even our 4 year old to navigate with water shoes or crocs on). We will definitely be back. Thank you for amazing memories!
The entire family counted down the days all summer long until it was time for the family vacation. The boys absolutely loved the view of the water, the house and were eager to play ping pong. After a busy day out and about in local towns, we looked forward to coming back to the house to unwind and enjoy dinner together. The boys found sea glass, had a chance to learn some skills while kayaking, enjoyed smores in the fire pit, and lots of fun wading in the bay. We all felt comfortable in the spacious home and loved the wide-open main room of the house when relaxing, watching, playing games at the table, and ping pong. The neighbors were kind and friendly when they came to chat with us a couple of times. Definitely a dog friendly neighborhood. We definitely would stay here again when vacationing in Thousand Islands.
The large cottage has a huge open great room with a big deck and nice yard on the water. Access to get in the water is tricky because of the slippery rocks, water shoes donât help! The location is quiet , occupied cottages on both sides but nice neighbors. The country road is great for long walks and bike rides. We certainly enjoyed our stay.
