Clean, cozy, comfortable cottage
Publié le 4 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking in the national parks nearby. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Juli gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and we loved feeding the sweet horse and walking down to the river also!

The perfect stay!
Publié le 3 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved staying here, it was exactly what we needed. Close to Sequoia NP, with a hot tub to relax in afterwards. Robbie the horse is darn cute too, we fed him treats and give him some scratches.

Extremely disappointed
Publié le 20 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe booked this property a month in advance. After several attempts to communicate with the host, we heard nothing. On the day of our booking we showed up and were not able to gain access. We had to get a hotel room elsewhere. Two days later, we received a cancellation noticed using "minimum age requirement" as an excuse. Am 66 years old. I'm not sure what the problem was, but our weekend was ruined. This host had lots of good reviews, and I'm not sure what the problem was, but I am a retired teacher, who paid in good faith for a place to stay with my girlfriend. If they had an issue with my booking, they should have at least communicated with me. I would never trust this host again!

I am not sure what happened. I was out of town for a procedure. The only booking I had was a honeymoon couple coming from England so I had someone meet them at check-in which was 3:00 p.m. they spent a good amount of time on the meet and greet with the honeymoon couple and told me nobody else ever showed up while they were there. On the 20th I received a message from VRBO that contained three messages from a guest that was arriving on the 17th which was already past that date. There was no reply to those three messages because I did not receive them till the 20th. I had tried to call the gentleman and Express to him how sorry I was for the mix-up and offered him since he was fairly local that I would comp him a free weekend. He never got back to me. He did finally leave me a message and said that he was going to leave me a very bad review. I have no idea what he read about the minimum age? Property he wanted to show his girlfriend actually has an overnight rental that was available. I've been on this site since 2013 and never had an issue like this before I am sorry for what happened but I had no control over it since I never received any of his messages regarding renting the 17th until the 20th. Yes it was A unsettling and terrible situation!

Needs a few extra things…
Publié le 26 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe liked our cottage. However, not enough towels in the bathroom and no blow dryer. I would suggest making additional towels available as well as a blow dryer.

I am so sorry that you did not feel you had what you needed. As I said when I spoke to you if there was anything else you needed to please let us know. Since there are two guests we left two bath towels, hand towel and two washcloths along with two Larger towels for the river and the spa. Due to the short stay that's usually adequate but like I said if you needed anything else I was only a phone call away four more towels or a blow dryer. I am sorry you didn't take advantage of just asking for what you needed since it had been offered to you.

Great Stay at Horse Cottage
