Unparalleled views, great location

Refurbished cottage offering almost everything! It would have been nice to have a bath, but both shower rooms are nicely done. Couldn't work out why there was no extraxtor fan in the kitchen or main shower room, so opened the windows whilst cooking/showering. Fine in the summer months but suspect a bit chilly in the winter! The views from the cottage are just amazing. Loved just gazing out of the windows or from the balcony (when it wasn't raining). Some nice touches, like the Alexa and Nespresso machine, but would have liked a change of towels. Just one set for all week was stretching it a tad. Overall, a suoerb stay in a unique cottage. We loved being in Tighnaebruiach. We can highly recommend Portavadie Marina for a fantastic evening meal - reasonably priced and great service. The Kames Hotel also does great food, but is a little more exoensive. Be warned, petrol stations are few and far between, so fill up at Dunoon if you travel by ferry. There is a tiny petrol station in Tighnabruaich but it is closed on Sundays, only open during normal 'office hours' during the week and is very expensive. The local shops all seem to close at 6pm, so make sure to buy your essentials beforehand. There was a bottle of prosecco waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely touch, but no milk or loaf of bread etc, which we have become accustomed to when arriving at a holiday cottage.
